gotheroos!

goddard broughton heppell burgoyne lake clarke tomilson - sierowski allen
ablett dalsanto murphy selwood stevens zorko- l.brown mcdonald
leunberger z.smith - giles stephenson
franklin goodes walker dangerfield brown pfeiffer treloar - smedts couch

$23k in the bank.

goddard - solid pick. a must have imo.
broughton - will see what his role is like but if he plays like the 2nd half of last year, then he's a must have too!
heppell - young gun. plays with maturity beyond his years. can only improve....
burgoyne - a gamble. could be a differential but might change to suckling.
lake - another gamble. will monitor over the next few weeks.
tomlison - will monitor over the next month. may change to mohr.
sierowski - might play since grima is injured. will wait and see.
allen - will have to see. mid / def.

ablett, dalsanto, murphy, selwood, all gonna be in top 4 mids at the end of the season. may as well get them from the start. rookies may change.

leuy strong ruck. smith is a potential star. worth the gamble. rookies ok.

buddy, goodes = guns
walker has good early fixtures, same with dangerfield. brown is underpriced and can be a gun! rookies to be monitored.

thoughts? i'll give feedback on ur team as well.

7.5 i reckon you should only have one of either danger or walker, solid mids though and unique backline

gotheroos!

thx. yeh, who wouldu recommend instead of walker / dangerfield?

MC

I like the Dangermouse! Mids are STACKED and could be slightly downgraded to use the cash elsewhere, however may be a good strategy to bank the points from rd1. (I'm running the 3 prem/3 rook strategy)

Like some of those picks, though not sold on Burgoyne.
7.5 - only because I prefer to set and forget my rucks - Z Smith may not be a keeper.

Couple of Concerns i have not sold on Burgoyne in Defence.
Do not mind Smith as second Ruck - as I think he will continue to improve and while not be a keeper will allow a handy upgrade to best performing ruck if required.
Happy with Dangerfield but would look at replacing Walker with Sidebottom, Nahas, Hurley

rating 7.5/10 Good Luck

+1
I do reckon that Dangerfield will be a great pick up. Walker is an interesting one, keep him if you think he is having a good preseason and MOST importantly improve on last season's average. As Ringo said, Sidebottom at 450K is a sneaky little near-premium you could replace Walker with if you choose to replace him. Defence is nice, Burgoyne is a risk and imo there are players 100-200K cheaper than him that will out-perform him this year. Mids are perfect, like mine, stacked and ready for round 1, I like  :)
Overall sound team 9/10 with a slight change or two.

gotheroos!

here's the edited version....

goddard broughton suckling heppell lake clarke tomilson - bower ellis
ablett dalsanto murphy selwood stevens zorko - l.brown mcdonald
mumford giles - derickx stephenson
franklin goodes sidebottom walker dangerfield cooyou pfeiffer - smedts dickson

thoughts? $73k in the bank! thx  :)

I like it - however would still go with a set and forget ruck combo. Perhaps downgrade a midfielder to free up the cash?
