INJURY-riddled Brisbane Lion Josh Drummond will miss the opening round of the season after taking longer than expected to recover from a hip operation

Drummond has played 79 games in a frustrating seven-season career laced with injuries to almost every part of his lower body.

Shame he wasn't in my team but it certainly does make you wonder about other injured players coming back Waters, Porps Winders Hayes Morabito. Adcock and Hanley look like better options now.
