Is a 4 premium, 2 mid price starting midfield too much ?

I am overly tempted by the idea of going in with Swan, Ablett, Selwood, Gibbs, Barlow and Ziebell as my starting 6 midfielders, is too much to start off with ?

NOTE:
This would leave me with 3 premiums + 1 midprice in the back. 1 premium in the ruck, 4 premiums in the forwards

Turkies

Yes. Mid rookies give the most points, makes no sense to start with only 2 of them.

start with 4 premo's, 1 mid price and 1 rook in MIDS

isnt ziebell banned the first 2 matches? So you'd be missing out on a rookie rising twice before ziebell will rise

D.Zanetti

way too many, you'd miss out on the awesome mid rookies from gws like shiel, miles, cliften, along with sooo many others

No he wouldn't seeing as prices don't rise until round 3

Yes he would.
Ziebell will only rise after playing 3 games. Hence the rookie will have 2 rises first (if he plays all starting games).

Id love to see some stats on mid rookies vs other lines. i dont count dpp players as mid rookies because more often then not they are not in your midfield. I cant think of too many mid only players from last year that dominated the other lines significantly. Curnow was probably the only one. I think it will be the same again this year. Maybe there will be one or two dominant mid rooks and then everyone else will be pretty even imo. I dont think not having allot of mid rookies is going to be an issue this year.

Did some research on this based on last year and now am a lot more confident in going in with this strategy. The mid rookies in fact did not clearly stand out, in fact there were quite a few dud mid rookies pop up past year. The key to making it work is nailing my 5 rookies in the forwards and backs (need to find the duigan, Stanley, smith, heppell, mzungu, lower, krakeour and puopolo like choices). I think the abundant amount of DPP players will help this though.

I don't think the mid rookies are all they are cracked up to be. Look at Atley? He killed us all!
This is why I am going with a sneaky midfield strategy of my own... ;)

Thanks for reminding me, I started considering him today but not now.

Could be the key to the round 1 captain loophole!!

Scrads

Back pedaled a bit and got rid of Barlow for Sebastian Ross (tentative player obv) and upgraded a forward rook, so going with 4 premiums and a mid now.
