That used to be the case a few years ago but not anymore...and I definately used to agree with you

Maybe 15% of those on lists are atheletes 1st then footballers nowadays...our coach used to always go on about its no good looking the part without knowing where to run or being able to kick.

These guys are living football...they develop skills much faster than the average hack flopping around on a saturday arvo taking hangers on kids or getting belted by old farts because its the only way they can stop you from dominating

Harmicheal from the Suns has shown this, along with Roughy, Tippet,......theres heaps of players playing AFL that predominately didnt play the game before the age of 16....and if your playing AFL...then surely you have made it?

i reckon majak is another "marketing tool" of the afl's, they probably paid north to have him like they pay them to have home games interstate.

Spread the games popularity  overseas as they try to grow it to nfl like status.

still look at players like juddy and selwood they have so much strength which helps with their game. Daw can play and im not comparing him to premium mids but being a ruck strength would be one of your most important factors. If he was going to play tall foward he would also need strength

Yeah I heard the leadership team were sick of him constantly flexing and putting the rest of the team to shame and in emarrasmement Brent Harvey who is small and puny put in a formal complaint to send him to the vfl indefinately hahahaha
