Probably my two most favorite players and tackling gods.

Redden & A.Swallow. I've had them in every year at some some point and I'll look to do the same.

I picked Swallow from the start last year hoping for a breakout year. He did, averaging 4 more possessions than last year. But I was disappointed. He didn't up his DT average. But I got looking and he averaged two less tackles a game than last year....That's 8 points.

So really he should be averaging 108..... :P But with continued development he will get more pill and hopefully get's his tackle count up to where it was in 2010. Then we have a serious contender for 110+ average. IMO Swallow should score more than Redden. Redden will hover around 100-110. Swallow can be very damaging and hasn't had a DT breakout season as of yet.

So after saying that, which team is stronger. Keep in minds Rucks & Forwards stay the same!

With Swallow:

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, H.Shaw, Heppell, Lake, Clarke & Spurr (Morris & L.Brown)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Selwood, Swallow, Pfeiffer/Horsley & Shiel (Neale(NAB) & MacDonald)

With Redden:

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Heppell, Lake, Morris & Spurr (Hine & L.Brown)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Selwood, Redden, Macdonald & Shiel (Neale(NAB) & K.Stevens)

It all depends how Swallow goes. But everything is pointing toward an explosion in he near future.

Thanks.  ;)

Really a coin toss, both potentially could increase and both potentially could plateau

The F.A.R.K.

swallow mainly because he has a few years of premium scoring in the bag and he is stil really young add to that he is now captain youd have to get on him. Redden has only just broken out and while that means he could improve his average it also means he could decrease it. Id hate to see him drop 10-15ppg off his average while with swallow you go into the season with a few years of decent scoring behind him

also I love Lachie Neale
that is all

Bruce McAvaney

Redden won't go backwards. He's not a huge possession gatherer as it is. He gets a lot of score from tackles and that won't drop off. If he can average 28 possessions instead of his current 24 he'll get better.

i went with swallow because whatever he loses if anything to redden will be more than made up for by clark and pfieffer over the other rooks.

Swall ow is better in SC but if he can tackle a bit more like you say but more importantly accumulate more possessions he will be elite in DT also, alreadt is in SC i think, and if he lifts to elite status in DT imagine how big his SC scores will be.....

The F.A.R.K.

Reddens tackle count could drop off so easy all it will take is a slight positional change and bang he loses 5 tackles a match roughly 20 points.

I'm leaning toward having Andy. 2 years of 99 averages. Time to step it up.

Both Swallow & Redden get heaps of points from tackles. But Swallow can get more of the pill and get those tackles.  :)

Ziplock

get both, grow a pair and back yourself in :P

ftr, I think swallow is in for a huge year.

Still think Joel Selwood is top priority.

+1 was first picked in my team this year
