I am one of those wary of Martin and here is my justification.
Martins SC scores last year against the teams he plays in the first 10 rounds:

Carlton  76 and 55
Collingwood 109
Melbourne 68
Geelong 75
West Coast 97
Port Adelaide 93
Sydney 79
Essendon 67
Hawthorn 96
St Kilda 92.

Not the scores you would like from your F3,  Definite Upgrade target though.
Take note of the draw that each player has. Martin is a good player, but not good enough against the players he plays first up. Ringo sums it up perfectly.

Pretty rich putting in two low scores against Carlton in this data and then leaving out his 110 vs Ess, 115 vs Melb and 117 vs Syd. Leave him out at your peril.

Including those scores, 4 tons against the top teams, 10 scores where he couldn't crack it.
I'm sure he's going to improve, but for the first half of the season, I'm just going to leave you with a quote.

roo boys!

The decision for me is...Cyril and Buddy? Don't think so, unfortunately :(

Ziplock

that was all last year.

look at how many tons he had in 2010 vs the top 8 teams, I would hazard considerably fewer.

a year is a hell of a long time in football :P

Zippy sums it up that was last year, he will improve no doubt. He is a lock IMO.

He could be the best player in the comp in a few years, he has it all. An avg of 90 v the top 8 teams for a second year player in a young side is pretty good if you ask me.
