For those who don't know Tom Mitchell (Sydney) has had a restricted pre-season due to knee tendonitis and will miss the NAB Cup ( D: ). This quote from Longmire
"We're certainly not rushing him because he will be a long-term player for this club," Longmire said.

"He's going well, and physically he should be able to play senior football this year but nothing's been locked in."

Personally I don't think he will debut round 1, and can see Sydney nursing him through his first year as a substitute (like the Eagles did with Gaff last year). Which sadly, if true, is bad news for DT.

as a "rookie" got to expect he will get plenty of early games as GWS will need all the experience they can get..and in 5-6 weeks he will be maxed out price wise and ready for culling....

nice easy cash cow ?? or is the risk that he just won't actually get enough game time, so only score 50ish...which stuffs the whole quick upgrade plan..

He'll play all the way until the break then they will reassess
