Don't change your team just cos of the bye mate, if you like the players with the round 13 bye keep them and know that you will lose a game that week. We are all gonna have trouble with the byes at some point.
Your team looks good to me, there are a few players I'd have different but where's the fun in everyone having the same team.
Good luck.

a lot of trades will be needed leading into those rounds to have any chance of avoiding a 0.  Guarantee everyone will have a minimum of 5 or so players out during each of those bye weeks. why compromise a good team based on byes in 2 - 3 months time? think of all the points you're losing out on !!! Well, thats what i think anyway :)

If you're happy with your team, run with it :) goodluck :)

yorgis

thats the way i 'm looking at the byes but had to mention it alth' i'm sure chrisuzz would've known

chrisuzz

actually havent looked at fixtures as of yet, may go back to the drawing board and shuffke a few players, as of course this is my first shot and we havent even started NAB Cup!!! :)

Cheers for the input guys :)

Windigo

Fairly solid side mate.

Just watch Conca & Broughton. Both could be really dodgy.

Also Roo. Heard that he still cannot kick straight .

chrisuzz

So given the first round of NAB has been completed, what is everyones thoughts upon my side now?
Also i am too lazy to look into whos been injured etc. at the moment so there will be injured players in there :-[

PowerBug

Grimes got injured today :-\

Veyr even side, no real dominent positions, and some good premiums and some nice uniques.

I disagree. If you want the car then you have to avoid the byes. That's how it is.

Well how many trades is that going to take then? If you trade a rd 11 player out for a rd 12 or 13 player then the following week you will need to trade out rd 12 players and then rd 13 players. Wether they're rookies or premiums that's a lot of useless trading. I am yet to see a way to avoid having a few donuts, do you know the secret? Or are you just full of shower?

Mate I wasn't saying I know the secret and I know how to avoid donuts when byes come around. I don't. I found that you will get at least two. But that guy said don't base your team around the byes. I think if you have your backline which consists of Goddard Lids, Birchall, Scotland and like morris and ellis. You have 5 or 6 players missing the same bye. When you start the season you hope to play your prems the whole season, so you will still have 4 prem defenders missing the same bye when it comes. Therefore, already getting two donuts. If you set your team up now only having 2 or 3 players from the same bye then you will only get a max of 1 donut from that position. All I'm saying is you can't have more than 3 prems in the same position who has the same bye. If you have like 4 or 5 prems with the same bye then your bound to get more 0's than you could get if you set your team up early. If you have that view to not set your team up pre byes then you must be going leagues instead of overall.

ok get what you're saying  ;D didnt think anyone would be silly enough to get 5 with the same bye! It will be impossible not to get a donut somewhere, which sux! I guess there will be some idiots who dont take byes into consideration AT ALL!

I found a way to get a two 0's with like 5 trades. If I do side trades. e.g. Trade buddy to goodes, you will get 0 donuts. But I don't know if I can afford to do that and will probably run out of trades early.
