what are peoples thoughts on joey this year. see a lot of love for barlow, but for an xtra 60k you can have a proven 110 avg player who along with the saints had a shocker last year but still avg 98
IMO he will score better than barlow and I think if u gonna spend over 400k u might as well get a proven performer
joey has more keeper potential than barlow too
have barlow currently in my side but now leaning towards an underpriced montagna

dmagnus

barlow is a proven performer.
montagna is a proven disappointment. good luck, Im on Barlow

Both should score at better than starting price in 2012.
Don't forget that ontagna was fighting it out with Boyd as the 2nd best premium MID prior to the 2011 season. Not sure what you think is stopping him from regaining that form this season. Great draw for the Saints before their bye too.

Barlow will probably make you more money than Montagna but if he's not one of the top 10 scoring MIDs by season's end then he'll need to be upgraded.

Tough call, just depends on personal preference and team structure. I'd lean toward Montagna (but won't be selectieng either).

essendon2

yes, definitely Montagna. Saints will be back in top 4-6, especially with an easy draw to begin with.

IMO:
Hayes to average 103
NRoo 92-97
Montagna 105-110
Gilbert 85-90
Fisher 87-92
NDS 105-110

wow guys really?
Barlow gets his own ball, Mundy is looking shaky to start. Balla will not be taking ball from Barlow, he's never played midfield.

Montags relies on cheap kicks and a goal a game. He fell away badly without Hayes. You're taking a high priced derivative on Hayes if you take Montags

and both have new coaches to make it interesting. I think Lyon will help Barlow's game, who know what Watters means for Montags.

how so wrong you are dmagnus barlow averaged 109 for 13 games in 2010

                                                                       86 for  9  games in 2011

                                             joey                    96 for  21 games in 2007

                                                                       87 for  22 games in 2008

                                                                      116 for 21 games in 2009

                                                                      112 for 22 games in 2010

                                                                        98 for 20 games in 2011

so barlows a proven perforemer and joeys a proven dissappointment ?? i don't think so

Another To Consider Is Sidebottom In The Midfield

Start Him Off There Sub Him With Zorko Into The Forwards Round 13 Or Something Then Trade Zorko To Pendlebury, Ablett Or Swanny

Around The Same Price As Barlow.

Kuruki

Montagna throws up too many 60 scores amongst his big scores for my liking.

yorgis

in 106 games joey scored below 60 a total of 9 times [3 from last year when the saints were crap] average 2 / yr [not bad]

Justin Bieber

Wondering, why is montagna known as Joey?

yorgis

the mafia type actor joe MONTAGNA
