Which pair?

J.Selwood + P.Duffield + T.Armstrong + 50k
J.Watson + D.Heppell + T.Armstrong + 30k
J.Selwood + D.Heppell + R.Conca + $300

please vote

Selwood = 115 average  - Duffield = 87 (could be 75)
Watson = 110 (did average 117 in his first 8 games last season) - Heppell = 90-95

all IMO

what are your thoughts?

For me it's more critical to get the midfield right. I dont think Watson will be top 6. Selwood will be.

Sida

Watson, at his best is a top 5 midfielder. Thought his hammys gave way... twice last year, so he's a risk. Selwood just became captain so he'll be set to be in the top 5 midfielders for the season.

Selwood and Grimes? If that's possible do that.

thanks mate, but already got Grimes..

my DEF would be:

Option 1: Goddard, Birchall, Heppell, Grimes, Armstrong, Clarke, Ellis ... + Watson
or
Option 2: Goddard, Birchall, Duffield, Grimes, Armstrong, Clarke, Ellis ... + Selwood
or even
Option 3: Goddard, Birchall, Heppell, Grimes, Conca, Clarke, Ellis ... + Selwood

OKay then.
I like Option 3. Conca seems a stronger pick than Armstrong at this point anyway?

I'm not sure about that one.. Sydney's DEF recruits usually play a loose role and improve their averages from the previous season. Armstrong has shown he can score well, (119 against Geelong),
but Conca is going to play more MID time this year.

But then it almost comes down to the pre-bye draw and Sydney has the 2nd easiest whilst Richmond has the 2nd hardest. - Armstrong def. Conca (for now... just)

Everyone have a read of these:

Yeah fair play. I meant 'safer' as more are on him and if he fails you won't be alone in having to dish him off. In saying this I could be having both come round 1 as a part of my el cheapo backline. Probably could have explained it better, sorry :)

Not all Sydney's recruits have been amazing though... Look at Everitt... I do agree that Armstrong is a good player though.

Everitt was never really expected to make a huge impact right away

He's still very young and has a good future, I think people misread the signs

I feel that the same goes for Armstrong, I don't like that he didn't get many games at Adelaide

To me that gives bad signs to him getting games here

out of the 3

J.Selwood + D.Heppell + R.Conca

Armstrong wont start the season for the swans

Torpedo10

The 3rd Option.  Jelwood+Heps+Conca.

I picked Conca but thats if he gets off which is unlikely...

Windigo

Conca will miss games. No doubt about it really.
