Defence struggling. The point of having one prem ruck is to have an extra premium elsewhere... I'd downgrade wingard to a 100k rookie, and use the 70k saved to upgrade Hayes to a safer premium. J Brown as fwd #6 is probably over-indulging when your defence is so poor.

Thank you. I was thinking along the same lines. Whatt do you think about Hayes out, Pavlich or goodes moved into the midfield, get a rookie forward in like smedts. I also moved zorko into the midfield for wingard to have an mpp in the midfield and got pfieffer in.

Also have $550,000 to get a premium defender. Any suggestions on that?

I'd do that but leave Pac/Goodes in the forward line. You'll get more out of a mid rookie than a fwd rookie. Choose your favourite 500k+ defender, while being careful of by clashes. 3 prem defenders is too many to miss in one round, but a prem and 2 rookies would be ok. Obviously you'll have a donut in at least one round barring some amazing dpp work.

Yeah good point about Pav :) Im not as fussed with total score this year, more focussed on league wins since i lost 1 of my leagues last year and missed out on some gloating and bragging priveledges :P

yep, downgrade Riewoldt to a rookie, then upgrade Treloar/McDonald/T.Mitchell. Or you could upgrade Rowe?

Yeah. Riewoldt is quite cheap for his skill this year due to an average season last year so its tempting to keep him. Also tempted to downgrade Dustin Martin actually because he can be quite inconsistent at times.

Every year ive gone with 2 premium rucks and its always paid off so im definately considering it. Really dont feel confident playing 3 rookies in the midfield though

This is my belief.
Rookies will all score 60-70. So spending more than 150k on rookies is a waste IMO as it's not achieving anything. Better spent on premiums where the difference matters.
I'd get rid of Pavlich tbh. Riewoldt is good value so keep him. Get in Treloar.
Also, if you have the time, could you have a look at my team? It's on page 3 of this board.

If unable to decide on another prem ruck maybe look at the lower priced Rucks who will give value and score as well eg Zac Smith, Trent West and maybe H Macintosh.

Thanks. yeah, good theory. I couldnt get rid of Pav, downgraded Martin to Treloar in the forward line and have 540,000 to get a premium mid. but i want to get another 100,000 somewhere else so i can afford to get in someone like Marc Murphy or Nicky Dal.

Thanks for your advice. Yeah, although N.Riewoldt kind of let me down last year I just cant seem to go past him :P
I downgraded Martin and now have 540,000 to get a premium mid but i want another 100,000 to get a player like murphy or dal santo. Any suggestions where i can pick up that bit of money?

Still unsure if i want to go 2 premium rucks or 1 premium 3 rookies. Every other year ive had 2 premiums and its never let me down but still think what combo i want.
