I dont think teams get eliminated this year.  There is a ladder and the highest 2 teams play off in the final

I think there are 6 groups of 3. The winner of each group advances to the final 8. The 2 highest ranked 'losers' also go through

That was last year. This year there are matches already arranged for the next two weeks after this round finishes.
