Here is my initial team for 2012

Backs: H. Scotland, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, N. Bock, M. Clarke, B. Ellis, T. Bugg
Subs: B. Smedts, J. Lockyer

Mids: S.Pendlebury, G. Ablett, M. Murphy, B. Goddard, A. Morabito, J. McDonald
Subs: D. Shiel, D. Zorko

Rucks: A. Sandilands, M. Kreuzer
Subs: J. Giles, O. Stephensen

Forwards: L. Franklin, P. Chapman, D. Beams, J. Brown, D. Smith, A. Saad, C. Hampton
Subs: A. Kennedy, T. Walsh

Bank: $116,500

Just wondering what people think about my set up?
- I know Kreuzer is a big risk, as with J. Brown, but they are at a good price.
- also what about the rookies I have listed, which you think have a chance to play and which dont?
- how should i spend the remaining $116,500

I like your idea of risks the rewards can be great.
The only thing about the defense is bock is suspend for the first two games if i remember correctly.
Midfield looks very solid a good choice of rookies and premiums.
Rucks are the same but Sandi plus Kreuzer worries me both could be injury prone players like McEvoy could provide a more solid option.
The only forward rookie i would look at swapping is Rowe in the forward line in for Smith.
Overall a good start

Put Goddard back where he belongs and dump Bock.

Maybe rucks a bit risky - considered Jacobs? Good draw and not much back up over there.

I'd start Swan before Pendles and up grade later from cash made as I think he'll drop a bit and the points difference between the 2 will be negligible.

- Obviously trying to be a bit different with Thomas instead of Pendles or Swan
- Hayes, Kreuzer, Brown and Riewoldt are all risky (but at their prices I can't resist)
- also what about the rookies I have listed, which you think have a chance to play and which dont?
- Backline generally doesn't score very high, so I figured I would get the best 4. thoughts??

Any advice, words of caution, likes, dislikes and sledging is welcome!!

backs: leave it seems nearly spot on IMO. Dont know much about lockyer though.

mids: excellent i like the thomas move but could make or break you.me being a saints fan im praying lenny dominates this year. keep and eye on sheil had his appendix out and was in a moonboot on saturday night so a few alarm bells there

rucks: yep faultless allan richardson (one of there coaches) said kreuzer will be number 1 ruckman and rest down forward this year

forwards: pretty decent hopefully N.roo can go back to his best after a horror 2011 sidebottom will break out in a big way this year :)

Mids: Looking good. Not sold on Hayes though - will he be a keeper?
Rucks: Unique combo - like it
Fwd: Good mix - rewards outweigh the risks imo.
