By the way if there are any questions people want to ask Tom Derickx, Ashton Hams, Ben Stratton or Brendan Lee before the season starts please message me or post here.

My plan is to run a series on them in our paper in the four weeks leading up to the first game of the season (one a week). Will probably go Ashton, Ben, Tom then Brendan. Although if Brendan gets upgraded before then I might try to do him first.

Nothing stupid though lol.

Being a sports journo is good, processing bowls and sailing reports and results is not so fun. I am not purely just sports journo though which would be awesome.

Could you ask Hammer (Hams) what he think his chances of playing 22 games this year would be? Hopefully he doesn't give us this take it one game at a time and there is still 4 week until the season starts rubbish hahaha

I actually went to school with Tom and played cricket with Ben. They are both awesome blokes - great sense of humour.

They are also good mates. I think Ben said he was going to bunk with Tom for a bit this season - that could be interesting.

Haven't met Ashton and Brendan in person. I have done an article on Brendan's younger brother Damien though - he's a gun basketballer and footy player however he is quite short.

I did get my photo taken 'training' with Greg Broughton and Stephen Hill when the Dockers came down south at the start of 2010 (i think). That was kinda cool - 'training with the enemy'.

Ahh that's good. Lee will have a fight on his hands to make my DT with Magner the Magnet and Gibbo the... Gibson also at his basement price...

Hahaha yeah it's like when my freo supporting mate stole my eagles scarf(while at the footy) and got Ballantyne to scribble all over it. I told my mate he can keep the beanie :P
