I'll be managing my team from overseas this year, but still hoping for a league win.
I've had a lot of success by selecting players who tend not to persistently get injured, midfielders from successful teams,  by adhering to the third year rule and selecting players with a low MVP. I intend to follow this strategy again in 2012.

DEF: Goddard, Enright, H. Shaw, Deledio, Lake, Buntine, B. Ellis (L. Brown, Curran)
MID: Pendlebury, Boyd, Murphy, Trengove, Melksham, Docherty (Pfeiffer, T. Mitchell)
RUC: Leuenberger, McIntosh (Giles, Stephenson)
FWD: Franklin, Fyfe, D. Martin, J. Brown, Porplyzia, Smedts, Treloar (Saad, Zorko)

Backs: Good all round. Perhaps could swap Buntine for someone like Mohr if you needed the cash pre-Round 1. Swap Curran for someone else... 8/10

Mids: Unique. Minus points for not having Swan or GAJ. Your mids shouldn't be a place for risks. They should be a place for 110+ premos and solid rooks, so that would rule out Trengove and Melksham. DPP direct swapping (not trade swapping) will be overrated, move Docherty to your backs (for Buntine $$$). Good rooks, but needs better premos. 6.5/10

Rucks: 1 premo ruck lines add risk, but upside elsewhere = downside rucks. 7.5/10

Fwds: Quite nice. Like Buntine, could downgrade Porps for a rook (perhaaps J. Cameron?). As mos people probably know by now, I HATE SAAD!!! He is basically a small crummy forward (not a DT Friendly role) in a team which already has Milne. Pleeeeease get rid of him... 8/10

Overall: 7.5/10 A good start, but your mids are really lacking without Swan and or GAJ imo. Good Luck
