Shaw can have some stinkers (I know everyone can, but when Shaw plays bad it's really bad).  Think Birch is a lot more consistent.

I think that teams will work around the hawthorn defence plan and make it harder for birchall to pick up all those easy possesions.

Plus Shaw is simply a better player

I think he's gotten a bit better; last year his worst score was 62. That's nowhere near as bad as his past years where he often scored 40s and 50s.

Really have to go with Shaw out of those you've said.

If you have Deledio & Goddard. That basically rules out a hawk premium unless you don't care that much about byes.
