Hey guys,
this season I am planning on starting 2 mid-pricers in my backline, there are many great options but atm I have Conca and Grimes. I know NAB cup hasnt even started yet, but I would love some opinions on the midpricers I have listed above. You may select up to 3 options.  :)
Cheers

Reece Conca has to be the best option since he will play most games as a midfielder. You cannot go wrong with him.
Grimes and Waters are underpriced but risky.
Paul Duffield had a forgettable 2011, I dont expect 2012 to br any better.
Xavier Ellis will struggle to keep his place in Hawthorn side.
Add Lake to your list, another risky player, but one that could give bigger rewards.

I cant believe everyone is off Duffield?! And i cant believe how much everyone wants Grimes and Waters... Constant talk of getting burnt over the last few years from Grimes and ppl still want him!!!!!

Duffield doesnt miss games and had 1 bad season in the last 3. New coach and with Lyon getting the backs to score well at Saints, every chance he'll do the same at Freo.

me

take the punt on grimes, if he stays injury free (big 'if') he's guaranteed of averaging 85+

Last 4 seasons - 1, 11, 14, 6. Unless there is some magical captain potion i doubt he will!!

Ziplock

suban/duffield + grimes  + waters.

Grimes if fit can literally average close to 100.  Waters is primed to hit 90+ this season. Either suban or duffield should go premium as well, apparently duffman has been training for a quarterback role for freo :P

the captaincy is the glue that will hold grimes together apparently

Haha i need some of that stuff then!!

I've been employed as grimes' personal surgeon.

I follow him around with a bag of rubber bands and a stapler.

soon as his hammies go- bam! I'm on it to replace it asap.

flowering costs a fortune in rubber and staples though.

what are peoples opinions on suban vs duff?

i actually have suban in my team atm, reckon he could breakout + i don't trust duffman at all, even when he was averaging high 80s last couple years - seems to just drift out of games all the time

                G      Tot score      Avg
Suban-
2009   FR   22      1206      54.8
2010   FR   14      839      59.9
2011   FR   10      550      55

Duffield-
2009   FR   21     1877      89.3
2010   FR   22     1928      87.6
2011   FR   21     1474      70.1

U trust Suban over Duffield??? Even Duffield first 3 years in AFL were better than those of Suban, bar Subans 2010 in which he averaged 2 more.

Duffield for me!!!
