Broughton Must Go! But To Who?

I've got cold feet on Broughton as his scoring last year really has me worried.

My back line is this currently:

Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, X.Ellis, Grimes, Clarke & Darley (L.Brown & Morris)

Out of the options I've listed I liked Sammy Butler last year in his 10 games. Problem is he can't string together games to save himself. Only other option I'd rather really is Houli. Setting the standard at pre season apparently.

But then I'd have 3 tigers players+other bye players. Not keen on that.  :P

None of the above. Interesting you have X. Ellis though. I would downgrade Broughton to maybe lake and upgrade Ellis to Birchall. (see Hawthorn to Hawthorn)

I've considered Conca, Suban and Armstrong as ~$200k DEF midpricers to be upgraded at their respective byes. Perhaps take the punt on one of them and use teh extra coin to upgrade someone else as whatlez suggested?

X struggled to get a game last year. With our injured defenders back (stratton, gilham) i can't see him playing regularly. If he did, I would pick him.

I had Tony locked for ages but cooled off him. Might go revert back to him and upgrade Steele if I can.

Ellis has had a great pre season and has had no injury set backs. He is set for a big year. Just gotta get some game time.

What looks stronger? Still dunno of Clarke will get regular games. He should. But is it better with Heath in there?

Exactly, Broughton was a beast in 2010. Mark Harvey just changed his role. He used to just roam free in the back half, last year he got picked up.

Yeah dont really know what Marty will do at the moment, but if he kicks butt in the Nab you will have to consider finding the cash to put him back in

I don't think you can really say he will be 'best buy of the season..." When the season hasn't even started yet. But I agree, is a solid scorer and you really got to have him back in.

Considering getting Hamish into my squad because if his back at full fitness he really is worth a look in.
