was just thinking about having 4-5 premium mids 2 prem rucks and maybe going with weighted number of rookies in my fwd and back.

just wondering what others plan?

Speculator

I'm going heavy on the mid rookies. I don't see the same value in forward or back rookies this year.

GoLions

i wouldnt exactly go heavy on rookies in any position. like speculator said, your mid rookies are going to make the most money for you, unless a fwd/def/ruck rookie absolutely kills it this year. i normally have around the same amount of rookies in every position, but around 2 mid pricers in def and fwd, with 4 or 5 premium mids

Bennyy

Depends on where you see value. Usually the most is in your mids.
I finished 87th overall last year and had 4 premo mids (Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Selwood) and the rest rookies, but this year swinging towards the 3 premos with the rest rookie strategy, instead allowing me to pick an extra premo back or forward. Just depends where you see the value of kids getting gametime/making you quick money for upgrades!

I try and pick as little rookies as possible. Have 4 on the field, one back, 2 mids and 1 forward.

You must be stuck with mid priced players then BB!

I have 2 in the back (3 if you count Clarke), 2 in the mids, and 2 in the forwards starting

Love my midpriced players. My team has 7 of them atm.

jesus, good luck with that, where did you finish last year? and did you use the same formula?

yorgis

i'll be going with 12 premos, 4 mids [ jb, grimes, hargrave, and kruze/macca] and the rest in budget buys [rooks] 3 back plus

clarke, 4 mids, 2 ruck and 4 forwards

Colliwobblers

best to have a balanced side with  premiums / rooks on every line, having 3-5 rooks in all lines (except ruck) means you have the best few rooks at least in each position rather than having them all in one line, if anything keep this in mind.

rooks score best in the following order (as a general rule)

mids
fwds
def
ruck

7,000 and not really. There was a couple in my starting team, but only one of the 2 worked out.
And it will work. Research research research and you find the right ones.
