I've only just started to look at my fantasy teams for this season in the past week, and when I saw the draw I thought, how the hell am I going to get around those byes...  :-\ I've had a look at some of the strategies that have been suggested and thought about constructing a spreadsheet. Whether you want to use the 8-11-11 strategy or something else, this will give you an indication of how many players you will miss in each of the bye rounds.

So, I thought of looking at Powerman's draw sheet, and Ossie's selection team sheet. I've combined the two together, so I can get an indication of the players that I've chosen and when they will have the byes, rather than do it manually, this does it automatically.

I've just chosen the top players in each position for the time being, and if you look at the Summary sheet you will see that this would heavily impact on Rounds 12 and 13 for example.

To download and use, click download from the File menu and save it as an Excel file. For some reason the worksheets on Google docs aren't working, so download and they will.

I've only done SC so far, and I will endeavour to do DT as soon as possible. Enjoy :)

Looks amazing, but I'm not quite sure how it works?

Fish very simply has the full draw covered and if you look under Rounds 11,12, & 13 you see which team has the bye.

BYES 2012
RD 11 â€"  Crows, Lions, GWS, North, WCE, Dogs
RD 12 â€"  Pies, Dons, Freo, Cats, Dees, Swans
RD 13 â€"  Blues, GCS, Hawks, Port, Rich, STK

Much simpler!
