QuoteIve found initial team set up is 50% important to overall success.

of the remaining I reckon 30% is luck

Haha, this made me think of:

"This is 10% luck, 20% skill
15% concentrated power of will
5% pleasure, 50% pain
And a 100% reason to remember the name"

But yeah, you are correct. I will probably end up starting franklin. Not starting him allows me Pv and Goodes.

Goodes im keen on with his good early draw. Even though he scores better against better opponents and tends to score better towards the end of the season.

The reshaped forward setup will help coach Alastair Clarkson unleash Franklin into an expanded midfield role this season.

After the match teammates marvelled at the 25-year-old's career-best fitness and the power and speed he used to split packs and break tackles yesterday

oh well now it looks like i will have to fit him in from the start

IMO, more midfield time just makes him a lock.

Definitely locked. Don't see anyone been able to run with him and match up. And that's coming from a pies supporter.

Splitting packs? How is he doing that? By running into midfielders who are half a foot shorter than him. How long until he bumps someone in the head?

I thought briefly about the prospect of leaving buddy out, until I heard scott cummings this morning, talking about buddy running thru the midfield and doing as he pleased, picking up possessions at will.  It was enough for me to make him a lock.

I'm sure there will be plenty of other players that I can get $50k-$100k cheaper at some stage during the season.

Buddy is locked for me.

I feel like i should take this post down now due to recent developments...

he's a lock for me too

Whats buddy's endurance like?

mudgee

I've got Buddy as a lock as most others do. However, is nobody else worried about him racking up huge amounts of frees against playing more on the ball? He's not exactly the most graceful of tacklers and he's sure to be rubbed out a match or two during the year... or am I alone on this one?

mate he has still dominated the SC forward lines giving frees away! he is also a game breaker, points will be weighted to his advantage at times. and also with the softness of modern game i think that could be said about anyone in the comp in regards to tackling. they should just make players wear head protective gear or something, you can't just stop mid tackle!

for me it's just a shrug your shoulders gotta have him scenario. it's not like he's massively more expensive than other prem fwds, so to replace him would likely only save you ~20k, which if you desperately needed it to fill a gap then you could probably downgrade somehwere else on the field to less of your detriment.
