Im not against starting Giles but i dont have the nuts...  Giles + Brogan vs Mummy (Rnd 1) Goldstein (Rnd 2) Cox (Rnd3) Jacobs (Rnd4) = Giles getting 50-60 points ?
Looks like I'm personing out. Sacrificing a back gun to a back rookie and a ruck rookie to a ruck gun ::)
lol ..  it might be a great move tho ?   just saying i personally dont have the balls.... but i have gone a midprice risk in H.Mac   ;D  if he fooks me up i change him to the next best midpriced ruck and waste a trade  :'(
Yeah :P My thought is if you're going stingy with Hmac why not save another 200k and go with Giles. Ugh, I dunno. I am saving an unfinished team (i hate doing this, like what if i go into a coma and wake up the weak after round 1. I will have an incomplete team for round 1.... :()
PMSL  ;D  ... it would mean we get an easy beat in our league like... Dr Dreamteam   ;D

Yeah well, hopefully that isn't the case. I need to have a serious play tonight I think. Lots of players that I hadn't even considered coming to the fore. Maybe I should just save my team and leave it until after NAB 1st round...

Yeah Nab always confirms / changes your mind  :-\

Flame

Wait for the NAB LE. Love your passion though. I normally set and forget but am thinking 1 gun and a mid pricer. Not sure about a rook though.

Windigo

I have two premium rucks and I feel my team is as good as it can get. Even If I was too skimp and have rookie ruck.

You need a good mid price player in def/mid/fwd then it's all good.  8)

I wanted to go the premium + rook .. but i feel there is more room to move with a premium + midpricer .. if the rook doesnt work your a bit stuck unless there is another rook performing, but if you go a midpricer you can always swap to another midpricer also there isnt as much money to make before you upgrade into a premium.

You make a good point. A very good one. I think I'll do some work on Hmac :P

2 premo's, Giles and REDDEN!!
Well, by the sounds of it you have some of the more uniqeue choices going around FF PB!

Andrew

I would have confidence starting with one of Giles or Big O, but for mine there are too many nicely priced premium options to not pick two premium rucks. I've currently got sandi and Jacobs, but other good options are McEvoy, Mumford, Leuenberger, and of course Cox. Then you've got the more mid-priced options who if they show some NAB Cup form become tempting (Kruezer and McIntosh).

At the moment I've got Rowe in my forward line to swap into the rucks via a trade, but like other probably have the least confidence in him out of the 3 rookie rucks. I could save cash by starting him in rucks at the expensive of a premium, but I think it'll cost you at least 20 points as week as the aforementioned premiums will average at least 85.

Kuruki

if Rowe or even Witts impress during the NAB that gives you three options to choose from including Giles and O. Obviously if Giles or O  are playing against Cox and Nic Nat then you would hope to start one of your other rookie's.  Look at Jacobs when he faced that combo last year. He scored 60 and 61. McEvoy scored 61 aswell. That's not screaming out set and forget to me.   At least with a 3 rookie ruck, opposition will be relevant. If your paying 430+ for a ruckmen your going to play him week in week out regardless. Where as a guy with rookie options for a second ruck is more likely to dodge the most dominant ruckmen when he can. Which will help his cause. I dont think anyone with 2 premo rucks will ever consider this?

Big O said himself he was very confident of getting  game time  and if he played well during NAB he would be pushing for number 1 ruck spot. That's from his own mouth, im not so sure he'd be saying things like that if he wasn't confident that he could do it. The dude is hard bodied and experienced as hell and was widely regarded as the best ruckmen outside the afl.

Im not saying it's going to be the best option going 1 premo 3 rook's but i dont think it's all doom and gloom. I think i will enjoy the extra pressure of trying to predict which of my rookie ruckmen will score well each week.
Im taking the risk.

Hmmm I said I was taking the risk..... but I'm not looking like I am. :P
