YES, there are 4 Geelong players in the Forwards. But I can't find an excuse not to pick any of them. I could have Smedts as a DEF and find another FWD rook.

Any final thoughts???

Chapman playing at 32yo is excuse enough for me! Up to Pav? Or else upgrade one of your ruckman. Good team mate.

can u get goodes for chappy. move smedts back and different rookie. if your planning on keeping christenson you will have 3 geelong players plus others with byes and will get destroyed

I'm basically looking for league win, so thinking that I could just throw that round away and hope I still get an okay score.

I believe Goodes isn't that great a starter, that being said, Sydney do play a lot of poor teams to start the season.
Tough choice.

If I put Smedts into the backline, I'd probably look at Pfeiffer (Port) who has a different bye to Geelong.

Strong team, I'd consider dropping either Chappy or Johnson though. I think Pav or Fyfe can outscore them and maybe even Cloke.

Cheers. I'm not sure whether to take both of them in, more so because of the byes.

Fyfe has had a delayed preseason due to surgery and Pav could be moved anywhere by Lyon, so I'll gauge that from NAB cup.

Thoughts on the 1-3 Ruck Strategy?

Being a Freo fan I've monitored both Pav and Fyfe closely. Fyfe did have a late start to pre-season but apparently he is tearing the place apart, so expect him to only get better.
Unlike Harvey, Lyon has a brain and it seems like Pav will play CHF with occasional stints on the ball. With Mundy the only injury concern i don't see a need for Pav in the midfield. Also Zac Clarke is being developed at full forward and with a resting Sandi/Griffen in the forward line opposition teams can't afford to double team Pav like the old days.
Not a fan of the 1-3 strategy. I thought about it myself but I'm not too confident Giles or the Big O will score too well.

Nic Nat should average 100 at least this year. Watts showed glimpses last year of why he was taken at No.1 and should improve again, Demons do have a tough start to the season though. Hunt is interesting, i thought he looked fairly decent come the end of the year. Don't know if he'll average an awful lot, depends on what your happy with from him.

rucks good ( not sold on nic nat with cox still killing it )
forwards pretty solid

Nice team. A few questions for you.

Will Grimes stand up? vs Will B Lake come back? or Drummond? All could pay off.
Is Chappy too old?
Will Barlow return to form?
Can you afford not to have one of Swan / Pendles?
Is Nic Nat overpriced? Cox is big!
What's Watts worth?

Lots of choices.
