Downgrade target or save the trade?

Just wondering how you distinguish a player between keeping a player who is not playing early on your bench, but you will know they will later on so you save a trade, which we know could be very valuable, or keep them out of your starting 30, and pick them up later as a downgrade target. Which is the better way to go? Examples would be Sam Rowe, Sam Kerridge, etc.

I want all my rookies playing. Make tbe cash tben downgrade when another rookie starts to show good signs after two games.

At the beginning is always better to choose as many players as you can that you are expecting will play. It doesn't help to have someone on the bench hoping that later on will get a game,
In cases like Rowe and Kerridge wait ubtil they have played 2 games, and then decide if they are worth getting.
