Hanley or Heppell as #4 defender (which will be #7 by seasons end) are a little risky, as is the 5 rookie theory in the midfield, but I just think the midfielders make more money, more quickly and there are significantly more upgrade options there than defenders or forwards.  Winderlich is a gamble, but if he's right to go, he walks straight back into Essendon's best 21.

I'm toying with the 5 mid rookie thing too

thinking back to last year 5 good picks for rookies in the midfield could be up by $1m overall after 6 weeks, which basically gives you two extra premiums

that said you will be bleeding a few points early on
