OK  I'm giving everyone 4 votes, so the question is simple which clubs in a fantasy football sense and in general are in for the biggest improvement this season.

I'm backing the following 4 to lift thier game the most

1. Brisbane
2. Richmond
3. Adelaide
4. Fremantle

with special consideration for the dees and the kangas, but hey i'm only al;lowing 4 votes, so who are your 4?

Ziplock

1- Fremantle (top 4)
2- Melbourne (Pushing the 8)
3- North Melbourne (Pushing the 6)
4- Richmond (Pushing the 8)

the question is, I've just dropped 4 teams potentially into the 8, at this stage in the season I'd say the Roos and Freo would be near certainties.

But whose spots do they take?

Collingwood and Hawthorn will both be in the top 3. Geelong may slide, due to age + injuries, but I can't see them falling far out of the 4, at worst.

Flash in the pan for WCE? Them or Carlton may drop out if they cop an LTI to a key player like Cox or any Judd/Gibbs
honestly, most likely to drop out at 6-8. Essendon were lucky to even make it in imo. STK may make a final gasp for the flag, but 50/50 if they fall out. Swans.... well, they have to fall out of the 8 eventually, and their key players are getting on. How much longer can goodes keep carrying?

point is, I can see really really tight contesting of the ladder from 6 down as far as maybe 12th. Going to be an interesting season, that could purely be determined on when the new clubs are turned on/off.

Adelaide - have a really talented list and it got to the point where they were a bit over-coached by Craig and everyone forgot to just play footy. Once freed up a bit late last year they looked pretty good and they will definitely push for the 8 this year. Better mention the east draw as well.

North - Steadily improving recently. Harvey the only key-player likely to retire anytime soon and Ziebell, Adams, Goldstein etc. can only improve.

Brisbane - Yet again most of the core group of players are either young or in their prime with Brown and Black the only real exceptions off the top of my head. Imagine how well Rocky, Redden and Berger can score in a winning team!

Richmond - Same story. Martin and Houli the big improvers out there for DT

I'm afraid St Kilda will slide down the ladder. Feel sorry for them really, they deserved a premiership somewhere along the last few years.

lol Freo top 4 and Richmond in the top 8.

I don't think your tipping is going to go well this year matey  :P

*yawn*

Richmond have been hovering around the 8 for years. They've got a lot of really promising young, developing talent.... you look at players like lids, cotchin, martin, riewoldt, and they should be able to push it this year.

Top 4 for freo would be difficult, but not impossible. They had a ridiculous horror run with injuries last year, and finished just out of the 8 anyway. You saw WCE go from wooden spoon the 4th in a year, why not 9th to 4th. The ability is there, and while their key players like Pav and Sandi are aging, they're certainly not declining.

dmac07

1. Freo, to finish 3-5th.
2. N.Melb, to finish 5-7th
3. Rich, to finish 7-9th.
4. GC, 15-17th, but to cut out half of the floggings.

My top 8:
Collingwood
Hawthorn
Geelong
Fremantle
Carlton
West Coast
Nth Melb
Richmond.

Essendon close, unlucky to miss.
Sydney to drop off.
Dogs to continue to decline.

Agree with you Zip about Fremantle, Horror run of injury last year. Their side is completely different when they have Sandi in there let alone with Mundy, Barlow. And all the other players to miss large chunks of the season Morabito, Mzungu, Mcphee. Defiantly a lot of upside.

For me

1) Fremantle, if lyons brings a gamestyle similar to Stkilda, their fantasy stats will go through the roof. Pushing for top4 most likely top 6

2) Brisbane having such a young list and adding more talent in the off season, added to that if our full back and full forward can stay on the park totally different side. Just outside the top 8

3) Richmond. Midfield of  Cotchin, Lids, Martin and Foley with Riewoldt and Vickery (think it maybe Vickery years) those players could almost win matches off their own boot. Maybe sneak in competing against Saints,Swans, Kangas and Saints for a spot.

4) Gold Coast as a roughie. Alot of unknowns, but a team with Ablett is always fantasy relevant!!!
Didnt do a hell of a lot in the off season to suggest a huge move forward but their list is so young and they just need a few of their 2nd year players to stand up like Swallow, Mckenzie, Matera, Smith and Dixon. Added to that we didn't really see too much of Day, Caddy and Tape too a lesser extent, thats like any other team adding 2 top 10 picks to their list in the offseason.

North (top 6)
Brisbane (top 8... almost)
Richmond (9th hehehehe nah I think top 8 )
Freo/Adelaide (top 6)

Bombers not getting a lot of love. Think they will shock a few. Last season they showed they can mix it with the best. Injuries killed their season only Freo had a worst run in that department. I wouldnt be surorised if they crack the top 4.

Going to be hard for us to compete against one Saints side, let alone two!

Who will quick the bombers goals? I don't see them finishing top 8 OR top 6 for that matter.

*Now we wait for the plethora of angry bombers fans hahaha :)
