Updated, let me know. Vickery/Walker gone. Improve my forwards, I think Mitch Clark will prove some of your wrong so I'm leaving them there. Got more MPP links now to the backline and forwardline.

g'day NMF,

not a bad strategy and I'd be interested to find out how you're going about 10rds in this season - my only concern is that you're proposed strategy leaves your structure very unbalanced and makes your backs & fwds very mediocre in the middle - i think a lot of the improvement you're hoping for from Clark, Walker, Vickery etc, etc is very aspirational and a bit of a high stakes gamble but ... sometimes you've gotta risk it.

comments on individual choices:

Scotland - beware top dollar/age/preseason contraversy
Shaw - be prepared to ride the Heater roller coaster, but other than that not an issue
Hurn - don't expect anything more than last season's mediocrity imo
Lake - i'm not risking unless he smashes it in NAB Cup (Capt Obvious - sorry)

NDS - like Scotland on top dollar
Judd - monitor preseason recovery from shoulder op

Hurley - had some hammy twinge the other week i think i saw somewhere
Clark - don't like the value even with change of scenery
Vickery & Walker i don't think are going to deliver you a mid-pricer bonus that you're likely seeking

good luck mate!  ;)

Awesome advice man  ;D , who are some of the guys you would substitute those "questionables" for? Or do you think I should go for a different style?

its not to bad until i got to the forward line,,,  man thats a train wreck..haha
drop hayes and pump the cash into your forwards,,
get yourself some decent premiums, if u want to go unique theres always  guys like
jordan lewis(most peeps will have buddy),
brent harvey(he gets no love cause hes 70yrs old,but still scores very well)
ryan o'keefe(most people will go goodes) .. just a few options

otherwise  just grab the usual suspects  buddy, pav, goodes, johnson and so forth

I traded Judd down to Dangerfield and Vickery up to Fyfe. I think it was a smart move. I've just traded Didak in for Walker. I think I might not keep Didak in because he killed my team from the start last year, but I'll monitor his NAB cup and pre-season.

Fyfe = Judd almost in terms of supercoach scoring
Dangerfield > Vickery - Both players will grow but I think Dangerfield has the potential to almost become a premium this year. It also gives me another MPP link into the forwardline and the midfield which becomes pretty nice down the line.

mate, i think it's just a case of giving things a go.
i more meant optimising things to improve your D3, D4, D5 and F4, F5 ...

eg Hurn - you could swap to teammate Waters - can't seem them avg'ing much different but $50k-$60k cheaper. only thing to factor in is the injury-risk for Waters (had a lot of problems with his elbows in recent years) ...

Edit - Updated, let me know what you think.

just read that "Docherty has had no preseason due to hip surgery, and is still in the rehab group. Not ideal for a 1st year player" in another post. Maybe update him to Luke Brown
