I originally had a pretty standard midfield but with the byes i have been looking at a few different options.

I came up with Ablett, Selwood, Gibbs, Barlow, Ziebell, Shiel

i know its not the most unique team, what have you guys came up with.

I know alot of people have been talking , about ziebell lifting his average, but i havent seen many people fitting him into their team. I originally had Swan, Selwood and Barlow in but i cant afford 3 keepers out, so swtiched to JZ with his round 11 bye.

Ziebell has been in and out of my side to no end.

ATM, I have Swan, GAJ, Selwood, Gibbs, Barlow, Shiel.

Thompson also in and out on a recurring basis.

Mine keeps changing aswell haha iat the moment i have GAJ, Selwood, S Thompson, Watson, Shiel and Treloar

...and you will be kicking yourself if swan pumps out  +150pts (I'm assuming that is L.Shields from Hawks?) leaving you with no vacancies in the midfield for upgrades?

Pretty sure it's Dylan Shiel, the GWS rookie.  My mids at the moment are Swan, Gazza, Selwood and Barlow.

Im trying to go for a more unique midfield this year, think it is more fun that way. I currently have Swan, Ablett, Priddis and Dal Santo as keepers. Also have Coniglio at the moment and am surprised that almost no one else has him.

Zieball would be in allot more teams if he was not going to miss round 1 and 2. That's ruled him out for me.

Holz

i understand missing round 1 and 2, but it will be very easy to have cover over those first 2 rounds.

I originally had Ablett, Swan, Selwood, Gibbs, Barlow but i dont like the idea of having 3 premiums in my team, as you will either cop a donut or have to trade one of them and there is no way i would trade out swan or selwood and i dont like the idea of dropping barlow.

So i traded swan down to JZ and winderlich up to zaharakis (i dont really want him but his bye is good).

I'm was running with Swan, Ablett, Redden & Stanton. But I wiped my team so I'll have to see how the structure goes for that to happen again.

the byes are annoying me, not sure if i should compromise my team a little to avoid a donut e.g Zaharakis over Lewis/Robinson and JZ over swanny

Bloody oath they are mate. I've adopted a new strategy. I'm gunna make my team one line at a time.

What I mean is pick all back players first and work it out so the bye rounds will be favorable to all in that position then go on to mids etc.

exactly what i did i m very happy with my backline and ruck setup, just worrying about 1 spot in my mid and 1 spot in my forward line.

Selwood and Barlow and locked in, same with Ablett and im probably going Gibbs. SO that means i need a round 11 premium if i go with the 5 premium midfield. I therefore need a round 11 premium at this stage something i just dont trust about rocky and boyd and im not going redden or thompson.

Than in the forward line franklin and martin are locked. Than i have sidebttom (12) and brown (11) so i need a round 12 or 11 forward. Which means robinson and lewis are out of the picture. Also of course it results on how much my mid costs.

Boyd is dominance. 30+ disposals a game what is not to like?

Redden is my round 11 premium.

As for your FWD line you could go with Robbie Gray.....I am.  ;D

But I think no one will go him so I dunno really.  :P These multi's are a doozy.
