How can we get the Captain Loophole to work if the Captain and Vice Captain are automatically placed on the 2 most expensive players?

nathan11

same way you do during the normal season by having someone who's not playing if you want to pick one of those in your initial squad maybe someone still suspended from last year?

drewie11

How is there a captain loophole and how does it work?

So if you pick a captain that isnt playing then you can choose a captain at the end of the round?

Sorry for my misunderstanding if I am wrong

This is the problem, why would you have a player on your list who is not playing?

Gooner

It's a bit tougher this year because no players have a round one bye.

I'd suggest Colin Sylvia would be the obvious option.  I can't think of anyone else but I'm sure others will be able to help out.

It's a great point you raise though.

Unless Goodes or Mumford really smashes it up, it could be difficult.

I don't believe you can turn the captain thing off, rather just select another player.

Best way to do it is have your 4th ruck as someone who will not play round 1 but will get a gig down the track Rowe? Redden?  and give him the C then have your VC on Goodes? Mummy? if you like their score keep him if not just put your C on Ablett or Swan.

Make sure you have An Emergency for your ruckman though. :p

yorgis

extremely doubtful anyone would have all their 30 players playing every week

cortez

I dont think it matters if all 30 play every week this is more about the first week and i for one want to know that all my rookies are getting games cause in the end they are just there to make some quick cash.

Capper

The captain loophole will only work if you choose a player in your team that wont play week one. But i cant see mamny teams not picking players in their Round 1 lineup that arent going to play week 1 and be stuck with them for the year

i am not sure who is suspended for week one but this is the only way i would do it

rebird

Sylvia and ziebell are the only two suspended prospects, that I am aware of. There is also the 4th rookie ruck, if you are going the bargain ruck strategy.

Also the Richmond Carlton game on the Thursday night will also be a partial lock out, so more options for the VC.

Ziplock

one of the gold coast defenders as well (club suspension from memory)

can't remember who. It's not bock is it?

Yep bovk. He is the best out of the suspended players but its not worth getin him just for the captain loophole.

Ziebell has been training the house down. Might actually be worth a look. You would need to balance the obvious difference in price

Negative side
If you use say Mumford who scores 130 = 260
And have ziebell (not playing) covered by a rook who scores 60 or below
=320

When you could of had swan/pendles/gaj get here 120(assumed) =240
+Your premo / mid pricer = 90
=330

CFC 1979

i would suggest you use SWAN,ABLETT,PENDLES and not wory about any loophole 8)
