The often ridiculed gun from Essendon enjoyed his best season in terms average DT points. Averaging a very nice 108 points.

His is the epitome of unique guns and further improvement is a sure thing IMO.

Stats:

Age:
25 ~ In his prime.

Draft Pick: 13 ~ Fairly low and Essendon supporters should be happy with him

Disposals Per Game 2011: 25 ~ Knows how to find the footy and has averaged at least 22 for the past 5 seasons.

Tackles: 5.5 ~ Huge work rate. And might not be flashy. But he gets the job done.

Position: Midfield ~ An excellent unique option who usually score big.

Player Type: Outside player? ~ 64% of ball was uncontested

Draw Difficulty: 8th Most difficult

Official Price: $ 528,300 ~ On the 'lowish' scale of ultimate premiums.

"Expert" Opinion: Get off his back Essendon supporters! He is a very good player. AFL Dream Team is his game.

Prospectus Fantasy Rating:
DT Gun

Prospectus Player Rating: Above average.

Last 5 seasons (Dt Average): 92, 93, 101, 100 & 107. ~ Think about it, he was slaying a 92 average at 20. Get on him.

Scores of Note: 138, 122, 108, 116, 107, 119, 112, 135, 155, 112, 153, 109 & 111.

Stanton slayed a ton 13 times out 20 last season. Which is fantastic  at least scored 87 from round 11 onwards and and had a purple patch during the end of the year.

Stanton was ranked number one at Essendon for:

Disposals
Kicks
Effective Kicks
Handball receives

Only downside is that he turned the ball over 92 times which led to 102 points conceded. Number one in the AFL.

But this isn't super coach. So who cares!  ;)

Chance Of Me Getting Him:

His locked in. Right now he is my 4th and final premium mid.

~ 70% sure I'll keep him. But If I have to free up some cash he'll have to go.

He'll join Swan, Ablett & Redden.

I'd love to get him in but my midfield is pretty much locked unless something major happens and I have to shuffle players, and I'd get Selwood and Murphy in before Stants. He's my second favourite player, behind ZackaRacka, and is a dt gun but just not good enough to make the cut.

Windigo

Yeah, fair enough. I reckon he could have his best season this year. But Selwood really is a lock. Which I'm nor rolling with because I'm like 10K short.  8)

me

great unique pick i LOVE this guy - cannot understand why bombers fans hate him

i would love to get him, but currently have swan and pendles as r12 bye players. i suppose given stantons usual strong starts to years and easy draw you could just get him and then jump off in round 12 (sideways him to a rockliff or redden)

Windigo

I'd keep him all year round. Has massive scoring potential.
