So none of you see Armstrong getting a starting berth at this point in time?

Not anymore, I cant see them risking him back from injury. Will spend some time in the seconds before getting his chance.

Capper

No Hannebery, Armstrong, TDL, LRT or Meredith playing this weekend.

Will TDL ever play for the 1s this year???

TheMailman

I think he still needs to develop as a player

I'm pretty sure Longmuire saw 2010 just as a taster for TDL to see if he'd excel which he did resaonably, but I think a couple of times he was too easily shut down by the top 8-9 teams in the comp and he needs to work on his strength so I'm not sure how long it will take.

Capper

yeh but he killed the 2s lat year when he played , didnt he???

TheMailman

So does Jesse White and Vezspremi did as well :S

JW needs to work on his arms they clearly arent big enough and didn't the Vesper leave??? played for the dogs last year

TheMailman

That's why I said "did"

I just couldn't put any other names off the top of my head.

My Chumps

Jesse's got the body, he just needs to use it more.
Kills the seconds against lighter frames.

Capper

needs to relax and practice kicking between the big sticks

JW is a project player, came late to AFL from basketball. What lets him down is the ball sense and his own fwd movements. By the fact he played some many games, I go the impression he had a license "to learn" last year knowing they were not going to mark him too harshly, but I would think if he cant develop this year he wont be resigned (pretty sure he is out of contract end of this year)

From what I saw Vesper had too many injury issues and lacked the necessary discipline when his body was right. A player with skills that lacked the Swans work ethic required? I may be wrong, but that is how I interpreted all the stuff that went on with him.

TheMailman

All of you guys are right, I was merely comparing TDL to him, he's a bit of a project player as well

Capper

i think TDL is more of a FF where the vespa was better in the pocket

SydneyRox

I really like TDL, I watched him in a couple of WAFL games before he got drafted, very happy we picked him up.
He weill go well, just needs to string a few games together.
