Nicko's squad prediciton

FB          J.Russell                     M.Jamison                   J.Laidler

H/B        C.Yarran                     L.Henderson               H.Scotland

C            B.Gibbs                      M.Robinson                 K.Simpson

H/F        A.Walker                     S.Rowe                       J.Garlett

FF          E.Betts                         M.Kreuzer                  J.Waite

R            R.Warnock, C.Judd, M.Murphy

I/C         A.Carazzo, E.Curnow, B.Thorton, K.Lucas (sub).

EMG:      D.Armfield, D.Ellard, A.Collins.

The Blues are ready to have a real crack in 2012, they have an incredible amount of depth in there back line which they have lacked in previous years. I left Duigan out cause i have heard rumors about an injury that will put him out for the first 5-6 weeks. I have kreuzer as FF coming off the knee injury, plus Warnock's been decent in the ruck. Im still confused why Robinson is a dpp for mine his still a center. The blues patience with there young talent is about to pay off big time!

Another good article Nicko11, I like the backline and the center. Im not entirely sold on Rowe at Half forward maybe in a few years, another good crack, i would love too see a prediction for Richmond's squad, being a fanatic Richmond supporter.

I be very suspicious about Rowe, danger danger!!!

I quite like Rowe at half forward i think he suits the CHF role more then anyone else at the blues. who would you have instead?

D.Shiel

Hampson, Mitchell, Waite all better fits for half forward

Hampson too sluggish for H/F, Waite's too small and plays better closer too goal, surely you dont think mitchell would be a better CHF then Rowe?

Don't underestimate Hampson he has a unique goal scoring ability, Mitchell will be very good in a few years time, maybe your right about Waite, but I'm still convinced that those two would make better CHF then Rowe. You may be very good at picking apart squads, but Rowe is not ready too step up and play a CHF

To paraphrase Captain Hector Barbossa: "They're more guidelines than actual rules." The position gives a vague indication of where someone will be playing, as everyone crowds around the ball these days.

Your underestimating Rowe he has a big body and is ready for the big league

Rowe and Duigan both play no doubt

Agreed! But duigans a tad injured

Hawka

Great work with these Nicko :)
Rowe is ready he is like 194cm and 98 kg and 24 its not like he is a stick or young

youl_R_FCK

You left out Fev  ;D. Like the blues side but seeing walker playing more time in the midfield this year is going to hurt there forward line. I can't see were the goals will come from other then Judd running through the guys and drilling from 50m

Agree Nicko with the majority of your squad except for:
I don't agree with the comment Rowe is suited to the CHF roll more than anyone else. Surely Kreuzer is out of it too much sitting at FF. I'd prefer Kreuz at CHF with Rowe on the bench interchanging at FF and pinchhitting in the ruck to rest Warnock maybe (although Kreuz will also help). I'm also not 100% sold on Henderson down back to RELY on as such yet - and may need some help from Waite at times at CHB...(also would greatly assist our SC scores as he scored the best down there! lol)

Master Q

Pretty good however a few small things:

1. Judd is centre
2. Gibbs will probably rotate between half back and on-ball.
3. Robinson won't start at C.
4. Waite is not a forward pocket. Armfield/Ellard/Lucas will slot into there.
5. Duigan (although you said he's injured).

Looking at that team I never noticed how much depth we have. I voted Fair Crack  ;)
