B            T.Bugg             T.Mohr           S.Darley

H/B         M.Buntine        P.Davis          C.Cornes

M           S.Coniglio        R.Palmer         D.Shiel

H/F         A.Trealoar       J.Cameron      C.Hampton

FF          D.Smith            I.Folau            L.Power

R           J.Giles, T.Scully, C.Ward

I/C     A.Tomilnson, D.Tyson, J. McDonald, S.Clifton (sub)

EMG: T.Greene, A. Kennedy, A.Miles.

J.Patton not included because of injury, im not sure that Chad Cornes will be in the team from round one nor Dean Brogan. Going through GWS list it is obvious there are quite are few holes in there defense with Davis as there main defender who is still young along with the other defenders, I rate him highly, but im not sure that he can carry a defense on his shoulders. Clifton i wasn't entirely sure about Clifton, him and quite a few others on the list would really push for a midfield spot, but there's no room for him in the midfield IMO.

Feedback appreciated, if rated well i may have a crack at a few other teams,

thoughts on the team? I'd love to hear who i left out.

im not sure why its came out so sloppy?

Looking at that GWS will be smashed week in week out. Clifton is wasted in the FP.

Thats the reality of having there only experienced players come out of retirement

The F.A.R.K.

I reckon they might go slightly better than gws in the first year. I like how sheeds has picked a team that will get results from the get go. GC were screwed over because they had a huge list (which they are now having to cut back to normal size) and they picked all rookies and came last. GWS have picked oldies who they can then cut and keep all of their youth. And the oldies should bring short term results bringing fans into the club

Speculator

This team is extremely fantasy football friendly, leaving out Cornes and Brogan (are they injured?) yet including guys like Bugg, Treloar etc. A good attempt though and I really hope that you are right.

true, but i think brogan and cornes are there for guidance more then anything i think cornes will get a few games, but niot enough for me to put him in the initial squad

What about Sam Reid? They must have had a reason for poaching him from the dogs...

D.Shiel

Good crack at this nicko11, wouldnt mind seeing a few more like this, gives some perspective

Good effort mate, very hard thing to get remotely close.

Here's my attempt
FB:   Cornes, Mohr, ???
HB:   Mcdonald, Davis, Buntine
C:     Shiels, Palmer, Ward
HF:   Sumner, Cameron, Smith
FF:    Folau, O'Hailpan, Power
FOL: Brogan, Scully, Coniglio

Giles, Tyson, Clifton Sub Greene

As stated Chad will play most games in the defense, they will need some experience down there. He might get the third tall so he can help organise an help rebound. Mcdonald might start on the Half Back Flank too give some experience and not too put too much strain on his body.

I see Brogan getting games, and being the starting ruckman and Giles off the bench(dont know too much about Giles if he could play forward at all.) Scully, Palmer, Ward, Shiels, Conigilo and Tyson will be the main group to be rotated through the middle you would think

I reckon O'hailpan will be Full Forward with Cameron at CHF, Folau to be the third tall. Power as their little goal sneak with maybe Sumner, Smith or Treloar as HFF

Very hard at this stage, no doubt ive left out someone and until NAB cup is over it only guessing.
Miles might need to be thrown in somewhere, not too sure about their players from last year havent got a Prospectus yet to do much reading up on them
