Once upon a time Bernie Vince was a dominant fantasy player and a viable option for any midfield.

But the young lad's body and sometimes his decision making have let him down in the years since.

But with a new coach at the helm and hopefully a solid pre-season he could be a great cheapish pick up for any squad not opting for a 'Thommo' or 'Vanny B.'

Stats And Other Sh*t:

Age: 26 ~ Should become into his prime now.

Draft Pick No: 32 ~ I think the Crows got a bargain at that pick.  :)

2011 Disposals Per Game: 23 ~ Many people still rate every season since 2009 as 'disappointing.' Not that bad hey?

Position: Midfield

Player Type: Outside Midfielder? ~ I say that because 61% of disposals were uncontested.

Tackles Per Game: 2 ~ This is where Bernie needs to improve. His a below average defensive player.

Fan Planner Price: $400,100 ~ You'd have to be confident that he will improve.... But of course he will!   8)

"Expert" Opinion: He's good value at that price. I would definitely consider picking him.

Prospectus Rating: Bargain!

DT Averages Last 5 Years:
39, 76, 100, 86 & 81. ~ His no chump, I expect big things this year.

The 2011 Season:

Bernie Vince had some pretty good games last year.

144 DT/35 disposals & 2 goals Vs Richmond ~ This was a career high game across the board.
122 DT/26 disposals Vs Geelong
105 DT/30 disposals Vs Port Adelaide

Okay, so he only got past the ton 3 times last year. But he slayed another great game against Geelong collecting 34 disposals and only 88 dream team points.

In closing, last year he was second in possessions per minute behind Scotty T. Champion data still has him ranked above average for his position. A breakout season looms IMO and all he needs to work on is his defensive pressure and we may well see him reach 105+. He certainly has the talent.

Watch in NAB!  :)

He screaming out to be picked by the looks of that.  :P

He's in my team... Thoroughly disappointed in myself... *Looks away*

me

would love to pick him, but don't trust him at all, so i'm not

great writeup tho

The F.A.R.K.

Pass....he is forgotten for a reason. He is a party boy. If he concentrated harder on his footy he has potential to be one of the best. Just has taken the easy route through his footy career. Nothing wong with that but that is what makes the difference between good players and the abletts, judds and swan's ect.

Would much rather Sloane. He seems to have that drive, that determination...more than vince at least. He will be a future star as well as captain

Van Berlo is 70k more and sloane is 30k more. That 30k could be used elsewhere... I dunno :P

Personally wouldn't touch any Adelaide Mids non will finish top 6 in my oPinion or are cheap enough or will improve enough to be cash cows. Pass for me

No Thanks. You forgot to mention that last year he scored less than 60 for 5 times. I expect a bit more from a 400k player

Yeah, WTF is with that!  :o

I have another Adelaide smoky in David Mackay. At 300 K he could well be a great buy.

Straight from Adelaide:

David Mackay ($307,300) Mid:

Has been one of the standouts on the track throughout the summer and could explode in 2012.

Mackay has hit the gym hard during the pre-season adding 3kg to his frame, which he hopes will improve his durability. Played some great footy in 2011, despite being interrupted by injury. Mackay knows how to find the ball and is a lock for the midfield if he stays fit.

;D
