Hey guys,
All the speculation this pre season has been about Scott Thompson and his easy/dream draw. Nathan Van Berlo finished 2011 in a huge way averaging 121.7 in the last 6 rounds. I think if he is used in the same role with the Crows improving he will be a much smarter pick. NVB could be a great unique option in 2012 and i feel those that take a risk will reap the rewards. :P Will any of you be taking Van Berlo in 2012?

I hear you mate, VB is having a great pre-season and is GUARANTEED to improve this season. whether that makes him a top 10 / mid keeper is the question but i am VERY tempted by him, i reckon this could be his year

elephants

So CW. Along with me and probably thousands of others you are entering the NAB cup with a team 150 players? Hahahah.

Im gonna take the punt with him over barlow :P might be the secret ingredient!!
But as u blokes are saying my squad has around 50 players trying to fit into 30 :/ hahaha
Im  pumped for 2012 though. Good luck fellas!!! And any competative leagues u know of with a free spot i am happy to fill the void. :P finished 1201st last year

lolrocket

if Bickley was coach, yes, probably ahead of Barlow. Will have to see how he does under Sanderson

Definitely VB over Scotty. On another thread I wrote about how Thompson needs 50 possies against GWS, GCS, or PA to score 120.

That is honestly my only problem with Thommo.

Good point!  ;)

Same can be said for Heppell. Slays a 30 possession games and just scrapes a ton. Things might change in 2012 though.

But that's (partly) the reason I'm going with Redden. Slays the tackles.  :)

elephants

Hmmmmm....

Save the 70k in VB over Thommo?

OR

Even Vince is a shadow of his former average. 138k less than Thommo and 62k less than VB. Has averaged 100 in his career unlike Van Berlo...?

Redden isn't exactly that cheap. 540k as opposed to Vince at 400k... Not really comparable.

Windigo

True.

Vince has fallen off the wagon and I hope he has a good season as his potential too improve is huge.

Damn, no you've got me thinking about getting him.  ::)
