Thompson Vs. Barlow

I have the cash to get either and they would fill the 4th mid.

I don't want to miss Thompsons early run but Barlow looks like such a good buy.

The byes don't bother me as i am going for league.

Why would you upgrade to Thompson? he plays GC and GWS in first 4 rounds and again later in the season along with Port twice he is locked in my team as fourth mid behind GAJ, Pendles, Murphy

agree with above but especially barlow, he isnt gonna be any cheaper than he is right now. get on or miss the boat

Neither are upgrade options whatsoever. If you don't have from the start then there is much better options later in the year.
Barlow's value is in his low starting price vs his potential. Thomo's value is in his super easy draw prior to his bye round. Pick them first up or not at all.

Expensive but will surely have me ahead of the pack early!

Yeah thats in sample teams of mine but only the ones with 3 rookie rucks yeah? lovely midfield tho and yeah i see that team leading the pack early even with a playing rookie ruck

I've gone both. Along with GAJ, Jelwood, Goodes & Hayes. Still debating whether to stick with Lenny, pay more for Pendles or go with Clifton. Just can't decide.

Haha sound advice but see him dipping in value while Len or Clifton would go up. I think all options have upside.

Nope. Still have the two guns two rookies in the rucks I have just gone...
DEF: Three guns and a midprice and 4 rooks.
FWD: Three guns and two midprice and 4 rooks.
*Only have 1.5 k in the bank so someone like CHristensen could become a rookie to free up extra dough elsewhere but not too likely :P Cutting it fine but we don't get interest when the money is on our DT bank ;D Points on the board for me :)
