agreed zip concas done nothing to suggest he will be a gun. i remember last year quite a few dters were not happy they
selected him . personally i reckon stewie may be a decent pickup

Just watch the NAB if Conca is given more freedom, im sure he will pop back onto everyone's radar.

Master Q

TBH he was never on my radar  :P But happy for him to prove me wrong...

Currently have Grimes and Nicholson.

Suban is the lest likely to make my team. At the moment the order is looking like...

Grimes, Nicholson, Conca, Hanley, Stewart, Suban.

Do we seriously want to go another round with Jack Grimes?

elephants

What I have noticed with Grimes is last years injury was not soft tissue. It was a fracture. Therefore this gives him another 12 months (since his injury) to strengthen his soft tissue areas (like his hammies and so on). He has been touted as a future skipper/vice (along with Trengove) so Melbourne will do everything in their medical power to keep this gun on the park.

Yes, I'm going around again ::) :P

Grimes looks locked atm. Despite having the least votes, seriously considering Nicholson...

Windigo

You can't be serious......

I'm locking in Hanley.  :)

Football Factory

Acquired with the pick that the Demons received for trading Travis Johnstone to Brisbane, Grimes came to the club as an under-18 All-Australian but was diagnosed with stress fractures in his back shortly after being drafted and forced onto the long term injury list.

Having altered his running technique and undergoing a series of exercises he managed to break into the senior side for the last game of the year. During the 2009 pre-season he suffered a back injury on the other side of his back, and it was originally suggested he might miss the entire year but he bounced back to play 11 games from Round 7.

A regular of growing status in 2010 Grimes played the first 14 games of the year before a hamstring injury in the round 14 loss to St Kilda ended his season prematurely.

At the end of that year he signed a contract extension, despite having a year to run on his deal, to keep him at the club until the end of 2013.

Despite not having yet played a full season Grimes was elected to the Demons' leadership group for 2011 by his fellow players, but after playing the first six games of the season he suffered a broken navicular in his foot during the opening minutes of the Round 6 game against Adelaide and missed the rest of the season.

From what i have heard Grimes will be managed very carefully this year apparently he is too important to the team they dont want him getting another LTI ... I went Hanley and Conca, Suban close behind

Nice man. Good write-up. Pretty much the NAB is going to deermine so much. Hanley is a little fav. of mine so he could slot in for 70k more than Grimes. Still liking Nicholson as a unique...
