Sorry mate but is one of the worst teams I have seen this season. Here's why.

Backs- WHERES GODDARD?? Every decent backline has Goddard in it. Also in my opinion you can only take a risk with either one of Bower or Lake. And the biggest problem is Warnock. Morris, Wilkes, Marty Clarke or  Mohr will score tons more than Warnock and all are about 100k cheaper than him (except for Clarke)

Mids- Good Premiums but Rookies you could have had James Mcdonald, Dylan Sheill, Sexton Treloar or Zorko instead of Morbaito and Kavanagh

Rucks- Vardy is currently injured and won't return soon. Also I reckon you need Jonathon Giles who in my opinion will be this years Zac Smith

Forwards- Probably the weakest forwardline i have seen. I would downgrade Butcher, Rerzlaff and Rohan. Then Upgrade Dangerfield and Allen Christensen To GUNS like Fyfe, Buddy, Goodes, O Keefe or Pav

Rating out of Ten: Sorry But 5

truely awful is an honest opinion no offence just the truth

Sorry have to agree with what has been said before.

Obviously you are a little new to the site so I will give you the tip i received some time ago when I joined the site and works a treat. Decide what you want your final team to look like forgetting cap. That is your final goal.
Look at how many you can fit into your team say 13/16 (depending on prices)with rest being supplemented by rookies. All upgrades are done to improve team and achieve your final team goal.

In your team you have far too many mid/low priced players who may or may not increase scoring potential.  Much better to have gun prems rather than these players eg if you downgraded Rezlaff,  Butcher etc and get a super prem.

Each to his own strategy but I prefer to have 2 rookies in each line and will be watching NAB cup to decide which ones.

As an aside with Mids do not believe Pendleberry is worth the $700k and may drop in price imo so am trageting him as an upgrade target.  All of your cash is tied up in mids so try to rearrange so you still have guns plus 2 rookies.

crap team

Offer advise, not ridicule. Poor stuff.

The team isn't THAT bad, but I'll agree with Ringo

Colliwobblers

Yeah +1 Ringo great advice I set my team as muc has possible in the following format this is also handy for setting up to handle the byes, tho not planning the whole team around them.

DEF: 4 guns - 1 mid priced player (waters/grimes/grima/lake/conca type) - 4 rooks

MID: 4 guns (i include barlow as a gun and think he is a must have at his price) - 4 rooks

RUCK: 2 guns - 2 rooks - would not be a terrible idea if your short of cahs to go 1- gun - 1 mid pricer (west,hmac,kruezer)-2 rooks

FWD: 4 guns - 1 mid pricer OR 3 guns - 2 mid pricers (christensen, brown, nroo, dangerfield, sidebottom types) and 4 rooks.

Pick your rooks when you see who is going to play and who plays well in teh nab cup, they dont matter for now but if there is a good one at basic price dont waste 70K or more on a high draft pick like coniglio hayes buntine ect. wont make you many more points or money.

pick your gun/keeper players where possible to only have 2 of each player on each bye in each line. example, in defence have goddard and delidio both on round 13 bye, but then have shaw and heppell for example dont have suckling also on the round 13 bye or you have to trade one out before round 13 or take a donut (zero) for him during the round.

thats a general rule if you love 3 players in the mids for example if you think you will score say 50 points more per round by having penles swan and jelwood (all on round 12 bye) then those extra points outweight the donut you will score for one of them in round 12.

so think about the byes and the players you have that will be missing each round but dont make your team up just to suit the byes, and dont have burger and cox for example in the ruck make sure your 2 starting rucks have different byes, AND lastly dont worry much about the rooks byes get the best ones, if you do a lot of the m you will have traded out to guns or down to other rooks by the byes and as you do you than make sure the ones you get in are on the right mix of bye rounds.

And don'  be put off by the harch comments this is a lovely bunch or people and you'll get freat help on this site dont hesitate to keep putting your teams up and questions up you'll get goos advice.

It's just well the team was average :) good luck

PICCOLLO

Lacks balance.  Have a look at some other teams in this rate section and you'll see what you're doing wrong. Goodluck.

Big improvement but still some concerns.

As a newbie can I Suggest you just delete this thread and post your new Team as a reply on your original thread.  That way you can keep all comments together.  I will provide comment on this team in due course in original thread if you go that way.

BillyBeane

Thanks for the feedback Ringo. I love all the responses from people who couldn't get a kick in a stable.

Some comments on this team for you.
Like the choice of Matthew Warnock in defence, Reports from GC suggest he will be the go to man out of defence similar to Bock last year with Bock playing up the ground. Not sure whether Bower is in Carlton's best 22 but wait and see as other options will be available to you.
Your Mids are very strong.
Rucks: Not sure whether I like having both West and Stephenson in the same team especially with Vardy coming back. Maybe look at a couple of other rookies pre season to replace one.
Forwards: I like.

As I have said to most watch rookies pre season and pick best available. Coniglio is premium priced but if say Shiel or Clifton are performing at a similar level in the NAB cup you would save 60/70k by selecting one of them instead.
