This team has far to many risks for my liking and sorry if I sound too harsh.
Defence: Hurn too inconsistent to be mainstay D3. Risk with both Lake and Grimes returning from injury. Grimes the more serious so just watch pre season performance.  If he does not play then forget. Ballsy call too with Hunt but may pay off. Docherty may also not play in round 1 due to recent hip surgery.
Mids:  Very weak relying on Gibbs and Barlow as prems. May pay off but expecting both too is a risk.  Gibbs with his DPP last year was still only the 19th best midfielder in the comp.  Would prefer Murphy or Judd from Carlton instead.
Rucks: Roughhead will he be playing from round 1 and how will his form be.
Forwards: Best line for you but a bit heavy Would look at downgrading either Christensen or Dalhaus to a rookie and upgrade in Mids.

You may wish to follow my strategy - I plan what I would like my final premium team to look like going into the finals and the select between 12 and 14 of them as my prems and then fill the rest with rookies or lower priced players who will increase in vlaue to allow upgrades to other players in my Final Team.

Due to risks involved with this team only 6/10.

nice not too harsh at all
i have never really had hurn in my team i was trying purely him because i read that he has increased endurence runnning and that the eagles will using him to b a defender pushing forward more, due to his massive kick so hopefully more possesion more inside 50. im only if'y with grimes, i think lake can b and will b the defender he was three surgeries plus everyone expecting him to b top gun after 3 diff surgery is a bit of an ask. plus no eade so maybe he can play better without being yelled at, at the end of every quater. gibbs i have every year and he has come backthis year even better by word on the training track so expect big things (even juddy talking him up). barlow has talent and can only get better fingers crossed.
with roughhead was going to run with zac smith even but maybe i should stick with two lock ins
prob look to downgrade dahlhause
but yeah first draft and looking at nab cup before finalising
cheers for the feedback ringo

Def: Good premiums, would keep an eye on lake/grimes/conca in the pre season to see how they are travelling, having all of them is a big risk.

Mids: Don't mind the gibbs pick, unique and could pay off, my bigger worry would be varcoe, can't see him as a good option.

Rucks: Good premiums, too many are staying away from cox and he could almost be a unique for you this year.

Fwds: Not sold on sidebottom (though a lot of people think he will go great this year!) or christensen.

Not all the rookies are who i would pick, but untill the nab comes around thats all speculation.

Changes: For me, I'd get rid of chistensen for a rookie (tomilson) and upgrade Varcoe to a premium.

Unique side, stick with your unique picks but change it up just a little.

Just at a glance, so much better without Roughy in your rucks!

Smedts, do you have a fwd/back link? Wouldn't consider him otherwise. Although I do have him in my team ATM lol.

Not a fan of taking all these in the backline, no consistency...Dyson Heppell, Jack Grimes, Reece Conca, Brian Lake.

Heppell, 2nd yr blues? Grimes & Lake, both coming back from injury, one or the other for me. Conca, typical pre season flyer hype, wait for NAB form.

Once again Siddy Bottom or Christensen, not two mid pricers hoping for a breakout.

Varcoe just no!!!!

PICCOLLO

Varcoe the problem.  Anyone but him.

DT Gun

midfield is where the money is made!

U need midfield rooks to upgrade elsewhere, that side would leave you a few premiums short come september

Spirios

IMHO you cannot start a year without either Ablett or Swan or preferably both!

Still not sold on Sidebottom. I see him popping up in teams a bit and not sure he is worth the cash. perhaps a dangerfield or J Roo?

Backline IMO is a little risky. Lake and Grimes injury prone, Toy not proven (may be a winner for you) Docherty possibly injured???

PICCOLLO

Bring gaff back in, ditch lenny and dgrade shuey to a rookie.  Upgrade gibbs to gaj, swan or pendles or another top 5 mid.
Your team has other issues but you need to even out that midfield.  A fair bit to like though.  Keep tweaking.  Your initial team probably had better scoring potential.  ( roughy aside)
Only bring in midpricers when you think they'll significantly improve.
