Who are your 4 zip? And are you really serious?

damn straight I am... atm... I'll probs dog it come lockout

well, there's only a couple of viable option for 4 rookies

Giles, Stephensen are the obvious ones, then you have to pick 2 of redden, rowe, jenkins, gorringe

im guessing west/renouf are mid premiums,im really going cheap on rucks, who gets a game in rd 1 will decide it in the end but at this point im thinking renouf/giles/stevenson/rowe,but west still in mix, redden of port gets a mention around the traps & without brown at pies now if wood or jolly go down that wilts seems to be talked about.Basically the cheapest 4 guys that get a game in round 1 for me with the possibilty of hawks roughead providing some backup as a dpp on forward line but not putting too much emphasis on that

Mortibacio

I like 1 1 2 for SC & DT, at this stage mine are
Shane Mumford, Zac Smith
Jonathan Giles, Orren Stephenson

The names may change by R1 but the structure will stay the same

I was thinking this year might be good going 1 Premium (Cox/Sandi/Mummy) then having three rookie such Giles Big O and Rowe. The first two should get plenty of game time early in the season then I can upgrade one of them to the best performing ruckman at the time. The money left over I can get an extra elite midfielder or have a really deep premiums in my backline.

2 premium 2 rook for me, it all came down to kahoolies for me, i had 1 premium hmac and 2 rooks for ages, then eventually lost my nerve and went 2 and 2. good luck to the guys brave enough to go 1 premo 1 mid price 2 rooks, and god help the guys who go 1 premo 3 rooks, as for the few ive seen going 1 midpriced 3 rooks, well nevermind  ::)

Are people considering Hmac a Premium?

sluga

I wouldn’t count HMac as a premium, to be a ruck premium you need to average over 100 and he never has (although he has been close 2009-92 & 2011-96 from one game)

Gents,

$662,600  Cox, D
$126,700 Giles, J
$161,600  Longer, B
$550,000 Roughead, J

Have Rowe in forward rookie lists ???????

What do we think ????

Longer was the No1 pick for the lions will he play I think yes ?

cortez

Atm im not sure who the two best rucks will be cause there are a few up there. So im tempted to go 4 rookie ruck in orren; giles, rowe and longer but they could change as we see more of them. That would give me 5 prem defenders, 4 prem mids and 5 prem forward line.  is it actually a viable option?

if there was a hmac @ between 200-300k i might consider this strategy, but there isn't a midpricer who looks like they'll sh!t it in.
expect a 70 average for rookie rucks - mind you rookie rucks will probably average more for the first half of the season and taper off.

i think everyone can agree that no matter how we look at it -  a 2 premo 2 rookie combo will beat any other ruck combo. if you don't have a set and forget - at minimum i reckon you'd lose atleast 30ppg to someone running a different ruck :P structure - if not more. so the excess cash HAS to be used to beat the teams with a set and forget ruck. we have a better chance cheaping out a bit on forwards and doing as good or if you pick well better than a team starting with more forward prems.
so anyway set and forget with me - if i use the cash well elswehre i reckon i'd be in a good possie.

zac smith was good last year but i wish i never had to use him for sandi!!!

The fact that hmac/twest/kreuzer/etc. didn't get significant discounts is actually a good thing.  It means most people will stay away from them.

I actually think one of them will come off, but who knows which one.  At this stage, I am staying open to all ideas.

Would love to go Cox and Goldy but they both a the bye in R11 so might go with a Sandicox. Was looking at getting the big O and Rowe, but with Rowe's  injury might go giles

gotta go Giles mate.   Can always put Rowe in the forward line.

Unsure about him, people arent talking about him like zac last year

charliesheen

Not expecting him to be a ZSmith.  But should score more than Rowe.

Averaged 90+ in NEAFL, and was BOG ~10 times, the most of any player on list including D.Shiels.
