After a bad year last year picking more super subs than anyone else, I need some help bringing home the cup this year. This is my first draft of a team this year. I'm usually top 5000 or so, couple of years top 2000, but can't seem to win our league. What do you think of this team?

find it hard to believe you have 75K left nice team, you don't need help :)

First don;t worry about the rooks we will all re-pick them after nabcup and again after teams round 1 is up :)

Second, i LOVE Didak really I do, bu i wouldn't pick him in DT meaning he will either score 100+ avg or more likely he won't because i'm right not to pick him, just to risky after what we saw last season but then Bucks could change that totally??

I would make dids a rook and pops a zaka or martin 4 sure.

Great ruck good defence tho i would make buntine a 104k rook and waters a premium with the extra cash and whats in the bank.

Mids are good enough working off 4 gun 4 rook, lets face it barlow is a gun :)

Def: not sold on spending the extra on buntine would go for a rook 70K cheaper. otherwise strong defence. scotland goddard and delidio all share round 13 bye.

Mid: solid midfield nice picks.

Ruck: cant fault it not my combo but 2 guns 2 rooks seems the safest option.

FWD: solid again.

Couple of overall comments:

1) A lot of your rooks are probably not the best options for round 1, watch nab cup and look for news on your picks to make sure they will be playing in round 1 and playing a DT friendly role, and in the case of a couple promoted off the rookie list. Downgrade buntine.

2) if possible change a premium back to not have 3 on the one bye round, its not the end of the world but it is a donut.

3) spend more money, after downgrading buntine you will have 260 in the bank thats too much, i would use it on a waters/grimes or a brown/christensen/dangerfield type in the def or fwd lines.

But thats just my oppinion.

well structured side, being picky to help but nice work :)

Lee Spurr requires an LTI at Freo before he can be upgraded off the rookie list.  He cannot be promoted at the beginning of the season because Freo have 2 nominated veterans (Pav, Grover)

Not bad for a rookie/gun strategy. I dont know about the forward line or the midfield.

Not so sure about your mid rookies, try look into others that will get some serious game time in early rounds.

DEF: Keep on eye on Docherty as he is carrying an injury and make sure Spurr gets elevated.

MIDS: Your the first person I have seen with Boyd so could be a unique lol. Neale and Miles may not get gametime straight away so I think there is better rookie options there.

RUC: Solid no complaints

FWD: Once again solid

I only have a few of points

1. A little birdy tells me that Pfeiffer needs to upgrade his tank before he can make Ports 22.
2. Saad isn't exactly a ball magnet and I don't think he will be a big DT scorer.
3. Fyfe is carrying a little injury so just watch his progress.

Good team though should score well :)
