In all being as honest as i can, most people i play with, won't come in my s/c leagues. I really don,t why, bar they and myself don,t know why a player can score  50-70 points for 1 goal or a contested mark at the end of a game. Surely the 1st goal or the third goal or the 7th goal, all contribute to thew end result---------- just saying

i prefer  GREATLY the idea of SC scoring system reqarding influential and effective players i really do ... BUT 2 reasons i prefer DT

1. DT gives me live updates on scoring on the web SC does not!
2. When I watch a game of footy i don't give a toss about but have DT players in it, i enjoy it more because just watching the game i can see how many DT points my players are earning, making a dull game more interesting. With SC it is still a dull game just log onto SC after it and check the scores doesnt increase the interest in teh game the way the certainty of DT scoring does.

hope that makes sense its my opinion anyway.

I play both imo. i did better in SC than DT last year surprisingly can't wait for this year in both as i know so much more than i did this time last year.

I disagree with your second point Colli. I feel when you are watching a game with DT players you go 'yay' every time they get a kick, but with SC players if they stuff up the kick then you get annoyed. Brings much more drama to the game ;)

Thats why super coach is so much better.

if there was 10 seconds left in a match and say Collingwood are up by 5 points they have the ball, but turn it over and the opposition win after the siren, In DT you would still get +3 but Supercoach think hang on, he turned it over and lost them the game -3.

So much more realistic.

I agree. It amazes me how people think supercoach is unrealistic.

Colliwobblers

i agree the scoring system in SC is better in relation to how they penalise and reward based on efficienct, I agree with the point you make  CrowsFan about that making watching the game more dramatic (better)

But.... this 3300 points rating?? how the points change throughout the game and how what they do for large parts of a game might be lowly rated, makes sence and i'm not knocking it, but do you really know how the players are scoring at the time??

Probably you do, I am not sure I do ... yet. :)

CrowsFan

Well you never know exactly what a player is on, but you can work out around what they would be on, depending on how effective they have been playing during the match.

RiOtChEsS

i like both DT and SC, will continue to play both...

SC intrigues me more than DT tho bcos it makes a little more sense, eg Kane Cornes' 30 odd possession games and 100+ scores in DT carry little weight in the actual game/my opinion he just hangs out in the back pocket and never kicks over 30 meters or forward for that matter, so its not damaging or game changing...

elephants

I respect the SC scoring system but prefer DT. Will do both after school when I'm on the dole...
