had no ballkid experience, but tried out twice as mentioned,

i honestly think having glasses is a legit reason cause tennis australia may be worried about how i would look on the tv screen.... -.-

I've watch a lot of tennis and I can't really remember getting a good look at any ball kid's face... Not good enough to tell whether they have glasses or not.

You don't have to be put on camera if they don't want you to be seen either, they'd just make you like court 15 ballboy, therefore your appearance is 100% irrelevant.

EDIT: However, with glasses there's greater chance of injury, if you get hit @ 200km/hr in the glasses and smash glass all over your face etc. you'd know about it.

Therefore I guess there's an increased risk w/ kids with glasses?

I guess if i dont make it this time, then, what can i say, luck just didn't go my way...

They can't discriminate based on genetics otherwise you can sue.

Does that mean you can sue the air force if you wear glasses because you're not allowed to fly a jet?

I think that applies for actual jobs... not volunteer work which I believe being a ballboy is?

And any company can discriminate as much as they want, provided they don't make obvious the fact they're discriminating. Most companies discriminate, just don't shout out the fact that they do.

Is there a valid reason that glasses stop you from performing as a ballboy?

Well there has been the point made that if you got hit by a ball it could break your glasses.
I don't know haha

Good to see that 7 of the top 8 seeds are still left in the Aus Open, only one missing is Caroline Wozniacki, who is replaced by Kim Clijsters who is the defending champ anyway.

Clearly a top 8 seed ;)

When i said 7 of the top 8, i meant Womens and Mens, not just the womens. So that means Djoker, Rafa, Fed, Murray, Kvitova, Vica, Wozza, and Sharapova.

I'm sorry for not explaining myself very well but that's what i meant.
