What's your thoughts on having much cash in the bank ? Obviously it would be great to have the team u want and 200k left but are people picking teams leaving $$$ in the bank or getting all the guns ASAP ?

pavs nose

I'm a fan of keeping 150-200k spare to avoid a double trade on my first upgrade. All comes down to preference though

Great Question, I have no clue what is the RIGHT thing to do, but I know I am not planning on leaving a single penny in the bank when finalizing my roster, not unless all the cheapest rooks are the must haves after NAB cup anyway, and even if they are there won't be much left.

BUT, hopefuly some clever man such as yourself puts a thread up about it and some even cleverer mans comment and maybe i will rethink my round 1 bankrupt strategy

if you start with premium mids you'll need the cash in the bank to avoid skimping on the back and forward upgrades

if you start with mostly premium backs the cash wont be a necessity as the mids and forwards should make heaps before selling them

if you start with mostly premium forwards they better be the right ones to be able to get the cash to finance the rest of the team

if you go for overall i would say never have more than 50k in the bank, you need that earning points. if i was going for league i would see no harm in having a bit of cash.

IN summary rooks make the most money in this order 1. MID , 2. FWD , 3. DEF ?
And a premium defence with few rooks is far wiser than a premium mid with few rooks, and to a lesser degree the same wiht FWD ?

elephants

Generally keen on having 40 k but currently have 150k

dont focus on the money, focus on getting a good balance and the right rookies. if u got spare awesome, if not doesnt matter,

yeah thats what i think

you need more premium backs, than premium forwards and you can afford to have fewer premium mids to start with

One thing with the backs in my view, is like last year Heppell was a keeper and most backs that averaged 85+ were keepers there isn't many absolute gun 100+ backs so someone like a M Clarke may become a keeper as a 7th defender instead of a cash cow only because there isn't to many u want to upgrade to !

I agree if you can get players like Lower and Stanley from last year they would be the guys you would upgrade last imo
