Zac Smith, GCFC

Did very well for year one, year 2 will be much bigger.

I have him in my DT but not SC at the moment, due to balance, but will be eyeing him off before round 1

Hmm. Have been considering him as a second ruck, but i still dont like picking second year players, but then again, he is older than most second year players and he is the main ruck force in that team (fraser is second).

Trent West for me. Lock him in!

Defineately Gaff as he will be seeing a lot more TOG,  Too many cheaper mid rooks this year to squeeze in in for round 1 though. Christensen has the skills and should go well and zaca could step up again if his body is up for it. from what ive been reading he is hurting a bit this preaseason. Can anyone over east update us more on that! The NAB cup should all enlighten us more!

I reckon Rory Sloane is going to have a big one, hopefully average average above 100. Heading west I think both Gaff and Shuey are going to have outstanding seasons. Too hard to pick though as you can't have both of them in there.

Bastinac
Agree with both of these. I would also add JZ as another North midfielder due for a breakout season

van berl, easiest draw ever, thomo to get the tag, depends on new coach but if he gets to run free, he could go 115+ for mine, wish i had the hoolies to pick him
Thats what my DT team is for!

two from the Pies to look at  : Marty Clarke - Bargain basement, will play, half back sweeper, will take Leons points from last year and will rotate through the middle with some run with roles. Played with Bucks. Only downside is may fight with Johnson for similar role. Might get you 75-85 pts game which is ok for defernder at this price with lower risk

Brent McCaffer ;  Premiership high/defensive forward. Injured last year. Will watch NAB but if plays could be a lower cost lock mid ranger. Solid body and likely to get games. Also played with Bucks. Better option than a high priced rookie?

Not seeing these two discussed much. Could be good lower cost performers and upgraded at the bye rounds? Thoughts?

your spot on with marty and ive read a recent article that he's right up there with most time trials and even won a couple, so he's fighting fit.

im a pies man, with macaffer im not sure, he showed glimpses last year but im not convinced he will get enough game time 2 warrant selection in many teams but i spose nab will be a good indication. will have to wait and see.

but if marty kills it in nab and he has a s/c friendly role such as a sweeping defender as u said then he'll be in my side infront of lake to free up cash.

reesbr

I believe Marty could be used as sub, but i hope not

miffysp

Nah I can't c Marty pulling on the sub vest. His fitness is freakish and he will run out games very easily. I rekon itl still b the young ones being subs and didak

im on the gaff wagon! I reckon he'll rip it up given proper game time

Bazinga

Christensen ... lock him in Eddie  ;)
