Cant wait to see him on a wing. Hoping this year year he can justify his selection over heppell :P exciting times ahead i feel for the Tigers at long last!!

Some more information, at his price you got to have him from the start i think or not at all, i want him, can i fit him, there are a limit to mid priced defenders surely but gees don't we have a bunch to choose from...

yeah he is actualy a midfielder and after getting stiched up last season down back for a bit they'll play him on the wing and in the mids

He is only 270k and is listed as a DEF. Hardwick wanted to improve the defensive side of his game which translated into bad DT scores, however when Hardwick realeased him into the centre/wing he produced scores of:
87, 70, 77, 83, 80 and 99 between rounds 4-9 and then for the rest of the year copped the vest a few times and went back to shutting down small forwards which lowered his average significantly. He is slated to play on the wing this year and is looking good so far in the pre-season. If he can produce scores like he did between rounds 4-9 (playing on the wing) consistently this year, he is an absolute bargain for 270k. Im tipping an average of 80+

DT-SC

thanks a heap fellas  ;D
will definently consider him now

me

im considering him, but who's to say he won't be used as a sub again this year or even get a proper go? seems to me with ellis/morris coming in, there would even be less chance of a midfield spot for him with cotchin/martin/jackson/grigg/lids and even shane spuddy edwards already locked into the tiges midfield

Your underestimating how much we rate him, clearly we would seeing as we took him at number 6 and i think he had a better year then most give him credit for, he just didnt do much dt wise but he played a few ripper games. he would be ahead of jackson/grigg/edwards in the midfield rotations without a doubt, morris will most likely play a shutdown defensive role and ellis will probably play off half back with occasional stints in the middle ala heppell.

Theres most definitely a spot in the midfield for him, he will be an a grade player in a few years.

me

yeah i don't doubt that he will be better than players like grigg/edwards, but just need to gauge whether he will be worth it (dt-wise) this year or the next -- being listed as a back is helpful, he may yet slip into my team ahead of grimes or waters, one (or 2) of those guys will probably fall apart before the season starts anyway and make it easy :P

theflyinghawk

i would say he already is. hes not going to come out and smash an 100 average lets be honest, but hes playing in the midfield and i would say theres a good chance he could average around 85, at his price he is a steal. you would want to watch him in nab though of course

So from what you've heard, you'd pickup Ellis infront of Morris? Morris sounds like he's ready-made to start playing as a mature-age player. Don't know who to pickup between the two of them. And what about Webberly, will he play this season? Scored alright in his debut season.

I'm not sure, I think Morris has the ability to score more but Ellis williston likely play a more dt friendly role, just have to wait for nab. No to webbs

I think Morris/Ellis will have similar averages for the year but Morris will play more games

Andrew

Maybe I'll squeeze both in... Morris being mature-age is attrative and he seems to be in the Hardwick mould so you'd think he'd play. Richmond definately a team to watch come the pre-season.

Colliwobblers

richmond ownes the back line pity about the byes.... Delidio/Conca/Ellis/Morris - not to mention the Rise of Houli.....

And Goddard on the same bye wiht Scotland and carrots and the hawks sucker and birch

Rnd 13 sucks for the backline
