If You Had The Chance To Change History. Would You?

See how complicated things are if you think about what would happen of you changed the worlds history? Things happen for a reason.

In 11.22.63.

Time doesn't want to be changed and when the character tries to save a family from being murdered by their father with a sledgehammer. Time is against him and  he suffers migraines and convulsions and his car won't start. Also, a trucker runs a red light and he if he didn't stop the truck would have slammed into him.

Anyway, he saves the children, But one still dies. He goes back to the present day and his friend who was the only survivor of the murders in the first place is now dead. Killed in Vietnam. Effectively, he makes things 'worse.'

Very interesting.

You could go back and tear up at cricket and footy and that in its early days. I really doubt bowlers from the early 1900s bowled 150km/h. They all had long beards, high top dress shoes and bowled in what would be considered dress pants these days.

Imagine going back and giving the don one of the huge bats from today to use instead of the skinny planks. He could have averaged 1000

I cant go past Hitler, but there are so many moments its hard to choose which one you would change. Kenedy is another, Martin Luther King another, so many. I would take a Sports Almanac with me to.

Without Hitler and Nazi Germany many medicines would not have been invented. True fact.
Not saying the other stuff was good though - I've been to Auschwitz and Birkenau.

True. But the German Science and Medicine would of achieved this regardless , Hitler did little to advance the process except for supplying plenty of healthy men women and children. Dozens of German Scientists were snapped up by the USA when the war ended including all their Rocket Engineers, they were ahead of their time no doubt about it.

Exactly! Test subjects and lots of them... exactly what they needed.

That' would be awesome. I read a story that Don rolled a few over at game and his injured his ankle ruling him out of the test match/series. I dunno the exact details.

But some disgruntled fans broke into the ground and poured oil on the pitch. So the test was canceled.  ;D

Now, I'd love to go back to the early days of the VFL and tear it up.

You can do that now...

When you watch original footage from early afl games it just looks like a whole lot of men standing on the field chatting. Wouldnt be suprised if half of the had beers in their hands while playing.

How fast do people think the bowler of the 1930s actually bowled. I reckon the fastest would have been Harold Larwood at about 120s. They didn't have the fitness or strength training programs that players go through today and they would have trained shower all where the current players train over half the year. But then you have uncovered wickets. How much have wickes developed in past 20 years. Pitches from 1930s wouldn't even live up to a club turf training nets pitch

Uncovered pitches totally negate the increase of speed of the bowlers today.
