I've been reading Stephen King's latest novel: 11.22.63.

Synopsis is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/11/22/63#Synopsis

If you can't be bothered reading it. In essence, a bloke finds a portal that take's him back in time....Too cut things short he wants to prevent the Kennedy Assassination.

So my question is this:

If you could go back in time. What part of history would you try to change? Maybe you go back to tell Hitler's would be assassin details that will help in his endeavor and ultimately his success. But then their is the whole case of the "Butterfly Effect." That is explored in the 11.22.63

So yeah, what point in time would you change given the chance. Small or big. They all having lasting consequences. For good or for worse.

How would you change that out of curiosity?

Snipers.

I don't think I would change anything. It'd be great if I'd never injured my knee, but I wouldn't want to try to change that,  as you said, since the potential repercussions could be really bad.

Just take it, life's like that.

So technically. Bump off Henry Ford? Vehicles would still be a part of society. But maybe no Fords. Perhaps Geelong never win the Grand Final and Ablett becomes a drunk. You never know?  :P

Grazz

I cant go past Hitler, but there are so many moments its hard to choose which one you would change. Kenedy is another, Martin Luther King another, so many. I would take a Sports Almanac with me to.

May have meant that he never left Hawthorn.

I guess there are a ton of things in the world i would change but at the end of the day yu can't change anything really because while the world had humans in it humana will be humans and all the terrible thing we would change will just happen again as they always have.

Not to be negative :) on the flip side there are a lot of wonderful things going on in the world also, like AFL and well lots of things

guess you take the good with the bad

I would stop 9/11. Then again, I would say more deaths would have occurred because after 9/11 airport security was ramped up.

Anyone heard of the illuminati?
All these things mentioned fall under that bracket.

bomberboy0618

I am willing to bet that if you think the Illuminati are evil you have no idea of their origins.

Boomz

I wouldn't change anything. Change 1 thing and everything changes. Take the good with the bad and let the world run it's course naturally...
