Currently contacting CW to see whether he wants to do these threads but Toddy Elton looks a ripper. Heard about him last year and produced some solid stats.

Sorry Jukes don't know anything about Murray Newman

How about this Murray Newman fellah? Making his debut this weekend, heard he smashed it in the WAFL a week or two ago.

Murray Newman

Murray is a creative forward with very good disposal both when having a shot and when passing the football. His willingness for the contest and ability to find space out of nowhere has seen Newman rotated into the midfield where he has had success winning the football and bursting out of packs.

He represented WA at the NAB AFL U18 Championships. He played in four games, averaging 20 disposals. He used the ball very well and linked up showing good run. Is a team-oriented player who loves to get in and under to get the contested footy.

Rookie Priced Player Rating: 7.5/10 - This kid has ALOT of talent and can win alot of ball. Has had expierence in the WAFL so he is slightly better prepared than some other rookies. Only negative is his JS. I find it hard to put him in West Coast's Midfield most weeks as long as Priddis, Selwood, Shuey, Kerr, Masten and Gaff in there and also that Tom Swift and Koby Stevens can't get consistent game time

Todd Elton is an AIS-AFL Academy graduate from Vic Country and is exactly the sort of forward/second ruckmen clubs look for at the moment.

Elton is capable of playing the key forward role as a marking player or Nick Riewoldt style with superior endurance/work rate to his opponents. Like Riewoldt though it would be nice to see him convert a greater percentage of his opportunities.

When playing on the ball Elton really adds something to the midfield. At ground level he’ll compete and tackle whilst also using his speed and endurance to collect plenty of disposals. In the actual ruck contests his size and leap allow him to compete well.

Rookie Priced Player Rating: 6.5/10 - I think I will pass up on this one. I rate him highly but KPP's take time and Elton will be no exception. He will score well as a Ruck but I don't think he will have much time in the Middle as long as Maric is around. Will be a gun but I would stay away for now

Murdoch is a seriously exciting prospect, he plays most of his football up forward but can slip into the midfield or play loose man in defence as the team requires.

What makes Murdoch such an exciting prospect is his combination of height strength and speed, it allows him to add that extra dimension to most forward lines which are usually made up of players who have one or the other.

Don’t assume Murdoch is just an athlete playing football either; he has sure hands and neat skills which allow him to kick goals or hit up team mates regularly.

Rookie Priced Player Rating: 7/10 - This kid is going to be a gun. Should have gone further up in the draft but anyway. I believe that he will be getting games like Jordan Schoder, George Horlin-Smith and Lincoln Macarthy have this year. I highly doubt he will play more than 5 games I just think Geelong are getting some expierence under his belt as the veterans will be retiring soon. I wouldn't get him this year but I probably will in a couple of years time!

Rookie Player Rating: (DEF) 6/10 - Very yound still developing, Sheeds wants to get 6-7 senior games into his players, this bloke may have played his already. Might get more games might not, bit of a risk and after 5 games not exactly a bargain anymore. Wouldn't count on him for bench cover for the rest of the season.

Dylan Orval Please Colli

Loci has done enough for me so here is one for him, as if he hasn't already done the research himself already, but others may be interested...

Dylan Orval
#48   Adelaide Crows
Age: 18yr 11mth    Games: 0     Born: July 29, 1993
Height: 192cm     Weight: 76kg     Position: Forward
Last Drafted: Round 2, Pick #23 2011 Rookie Draft
Last Drafted By: Adelaide Crows
Supercoach Price: $94,700
Dreamteam Price: $85,800
Status: Knee injury, Expected return: Round 19

VIDEO:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf7ATSssWWU

A promising junior forward, Orval slipped through to Adelaide’s second pick (No.23 overall) in last December’s Rookie Draft after spending much of the 2011 season recuperating from a knee reconstruction. At 190cm and 80kg, the former Caulfield Grammar student is an excellent overhead mark and a booming kick. Orval is the son of former Collingwood player, Mark.

http://www.afc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/4417/newsid/138254/default.aspx

Rookie Player Rating: (FWD) 5.5/10 - Tall forward, may be mobile but still likely to develop as a KPP and as such is probably not going to set the fantasy world on firs any time soon. Has a knee injury and as of last week listed as 5-6 weeks away yet. One to watch for 2013 but still in the Crows forward line spots seem VERY hard to come by.

After being overlooked in the draft as a teenager, McIntyre moved from New South Wales to Adelaide in 2008 to further his career at SANFL club, Sturt. The move paid off last December, with the 22-year-old being added to the Crows’ rookie list. A strong-marking small forward or midfielder, McIntyre kicked 14 goals in a two-week purple patch with the Double Blues last season.

Rookie Player Rating (FWD) 6/10 - At this point of the season you want cover from your bench players, while this kid is a solid player and will be a solid scorer in the future, a strong mark and a good kick for goal, it is hard to see him remaining in the Crows side with Walker and Tippett back in, perhaps if injury strikes one and porps jump on, certainly one to have on your radar for 2013 if he fails to play 6 games and remains rookie priced.
