Drummond if fit will always score well, he is the link up guy and they rely on him heavily out of defense when he is there he will see plenty of it.

Poor injury record but while fit a very good scorer.

Sam Reid is a 22-year-old medium sized midfielder was a member of the AIS/AFL Academy and was noted as one of the All-Australian team’s most valuable players during the squad’s South African tour in 2007.

Reid was selected by the Bulldogs with pick 35 in the 2007 Draft and made his debut in 2008 against the Adelaide Crows.

Unfortunately due to injury set backs Reid was unable to cement his position in the senior side, playing 10 games for the Bulldogs.

Silvagni said the inclusion of Reid to the young GIANTS list would add the required size and strength the club was looking for.

“Sam is 22 years old and he certainly has the potential to have a long career ahead of him. Unfortunately he has had some terrible luck when it comes to injury, which has slowed his career.

“He’s an inside midfielder who can play half back or half forward. He’s the type of player we need that is a little bit older than our new draftees and we believe he can bring with him a hardness and leadership that we need in our playing group.”

DT BE = -6

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 8/10 - Mature Player, several years outside the best 22 at the Doggies, should get a regular spot in the GWS lineup, not sure what held him out until now, but A'halpins season ending injury only helps to firm up his JS being a mature player. Not a lot of games to make him a senior player but a lot longet at a club and around the game, should be utilised to shore up the youthful GWS lineup. Was subbed ON in second game but had 17 possessions in his first in round 5. Expect steep improvement, on the bubble if named consider, most will pass him up for Horsley or Adams but maybe the older body is a safer bet?
